I have a 1990 Chevy K2500 pickup and many years ago had a shop replace my muffler… and lose the lower half of the rear hanger. I probably could have fabricated something but this was much easier and less expensive elsewhere. This works on trucks that take a muffler that has two 2.25” exhaust holes and a fitting attached to the frame that this will slide into. It doesn’t go in the pic shows so flip it over and slide the formed round piece into your frame holder and put the flat piece under your tailpipes with the clamp plate of the U-bolt between it and the pipe on the underside. Really helps to get a better clamp connection because the only other hanger after the muffle is the one in the back where the two tailpipes extend behind the rear wheel. Without this, or a similar clamp, right behind the muffler is sagged and I couldn’t get a tight connection.

It was the correct replacement bracket. But I could not use do to the frame bracket broke/missing.
