    This is my second Uncle Mike's belt. I work as a State Corrections Officer. My first belt lasted almost 5 years. I was a nice belt. The plastic connector is what broke. The new belts do not seem as nice as the older ones. My older on has cloth stitched on the top and bottom of the belt to keep the edges rounded. This has been left off the new belt so the top and bottom are squared and a little rough

    Worked well. It's a step up from paddle carry. You can still clip paddles on it, but you can also slide the holster on the belt, whole. Great for ranges where they insist on 'no un-holstered carry' as the rule of thumb. It's made to fit a lot of applications for range and duty carry.

    This is my 2nd Uncle Mike's duty belt. The first one lasted me 10 years, wearing it 5 days/week. I carry a lot on it and I was totally happy with my first belt, this one seems identical. I tried another brand and did not like it at all. I do recommend this belt. Love it.

    I bought these for snow pants so I wouldn't have to switch my regular leather belt from my jeans to my snow pants every time I go skiing.

    First of all, when I went to look for the package, I didn't see it right off the bat. Should be in a small square-ish box, right? Nope. It came in a five foot long box, and when I tried to put it on, I learned why. It's incredibly rigid. If you're going to be doing anything other than standing, you're going to feel that belt constantly, because it's going to put up a fight with your waist and belt loops. It also makes it incredibly hard to adjust the size. See those plastic rings near the buckle? Those keep the adjustment position in place by holding the velcro closed. Those rings also mean that you need to adjust the belt before putting it on, so if your beltloops are smaller than the size of either half of the buckle or the folded part of the belt, you're going to need to slide the insanely rigid velcro through your beltloops, bend it to the right size, put the buckle on, slide the belt through the ring, then slide the velcro through your beltloop against the opposite velcro texture (or use a shim as a buffer and slide it out when you get the position where you want it, which is what I had to do), and then hope that you got it right.

    When I tried to put the pants on (you can't do the stuff above while you're wearing the pants), it was the most uncomfortable my waist has ever been. I ended up taking the pants off and sliding all of the belt loops around to the middle of the belt and take half of the belt apart just to I could separate it from the pants again. I'd return it, but it's my fault for buying it in the first place. It's obviously the sort of thing that has a very niche market, and I'm not it.    Read more ›
