It is cute. It is very, very lightweight. I was looking for something to lift the water & food off the floor a little which this barely does - possibly 1/2 inch. Mainly, just disappointed that the SS is so thin/cheap. I have a fairly small dog about 12lbs. I also wanted something that would keep the water & food bowls together which this does do. The water is not the problem as I keep plenty in the bowl. It's when he tries to eat the food the bowl is so light that it spins & rattles while he is trying to get the food out. Many times he gives up and leaves some of his food. I guess it's annoying to him & us. I had purchased a single SS bowl from the grocer & it's heavy enough it doesn't move around so I thought this would be similar, have both bowls together & look nicer. It was about 4 times what I paid for the single bowl at the grocer! I will be shopping for another similar to this but I will certainly pay attention to the weight.

We were looking for a dog bowl set to replace our 2 individual bowls. 1st off, for health reasons, we wanted stainless. 2nd, we were tired of the bowls ending up all over the room. It's quite a surprise to walk into a water bowl that isn't where it's supposed to be! This set does the trick. Yes, an aggressive eater can move it around, but it doesn't stray as far as it used to go. It could be a little heavier, which is why I gave it only 4 stars, but over all, it does the job. The little rubber feet prevent the floor from being scratched. Looks neat and our Lab likes it too.

I am embarassed to say it but I fed my beloved dog his food in an old plastic dog bowl for many years. The plastic bowl had marks and cracks from all the years of use. I brought this one as a replacement because I did not want to buy another plastic bowl. It turned out to be a great purchase. The stainless steel is easy to clean and I don't have to worry about it breaking apart. Overall it is great for the price you pay.

These bowls are GREAT. Bowls are easy to clean and the separation keeps the food out of the water bowl which is nice. The bowls are much smaller than I thought they would be. Maybe a cup per bowl (not sure... just guessing). They are a good size for a small dog, we have a 20lb cockapoo and they work perfect.

Additionally like another reviewer stated the bowls do make a rattling sound when dog is eating from them. I find this to be nice as I know when he is eating or wants to eat. Initially, I tried to put a small piece of thin foam around the metal (like small foam double stick tape, .5 inch thick like a ring in the back) and this did reduce the rattling.

I have been looking for large dog bowls that were actually the size that I have been looking for. I have a 90 lb lab and and these are even a little bit bigger than what I need but I was tired of the food overflowing in the tiny bowls and falling in the ground. I love that these are elevated off of the floor slightly so there is now water/mildew buildup after a while.

Size "Small" is perfect for my 15lb dog. They hold a little under a pint of liquid each. The bowls are lightweight, but, it's okay with me because the frame keeps them in place without clanking around, rubber feet prevent it from moving. I looked at similar bowls at my local pet supply store and they were about $15 more than what I paid for these. My messy-eater, a 15lb Japanese Chin, is not making the mess that he did with his baby dishes. He sticks his flat little face in and roots around like a truffle pig. Let's just say he eats with "gusto". The sides are high enough and the dish deep enough to prevent this. He has a set of Royal Doulton Bunnykins Cereal Bowls that I received for his puppy-shower. They're beautiful, but, he's been making a mess with them for a year and I'm tired of it. Yes, my mother threw a puppy-shower for him when I adopted him. She's owned by two Pekingese. Please don't judge, lol.

This set is not only nice looking, but it helps hold the dog's dishes in place. The rack arrived slightly bent so the water dish isn't level, and one of the bowls had a dent in it (possibly because they shipped a cast iron skillet in the same box!), but overall I really like the size of the bowls and the nice stainless steel that's attractive and easy to clean. The rack could be sturdier (and straight!) but it's acceptable. I would recommend it because it's economical and attractive, but I would likely not purchase another if I find a set with a strong base, raised higher for my Husky to reach more easily, and somewhat out of the cats' reach.

I use them for my cats, not dogs, but the small size is just right for them, the whole thing is sturdy enough to not get tipped over or knocked around the kitchen (and they try, believe me), and they're just as clean and convenient as I had hoped for.
