I bought this kit prior to taking a trip to Alaska. I was looking for a larger camera case, an extra battery, and this specific lens. The only improvement I would suggest is to leave out some of the "fillers" and add a filter set kit. I forgot to get a polarizing filter for the lens - would have been happy to pay more for the more complete kit. Otherwise, the lens was great. I used it with a tripod and got some great pictures of our trip!
