Have had numerous Polaris units over the years and have tried every bag out there (I think). This zippered version is far superior to the velcro ones. My only wish is that they would go back to the plastic snap ring connector for attachment to the hose. Somewhere along the line they switched to velcro on that... NOT GOOD... it wears out prior to the bag wearing out!

Overall really good deal, though this one seems to get clogged occasionally and sometimes it only fills the primary part of the bag, not the side from the top down. Could be due to the size of leaves dropping from the trees now, though this wasn't an issue with the Velcro sealed OEM Polaris bag I had previously.

We recently purchased a home with a swimming pool. It came with a Polaris pool cleaning system and the two bags had rips & tears in them and would not hold the debris collected from the bottom of the pool. We chose to order the Polaris name brand as a replacement over other less expensive options. How disappointing when this bag had a 2" hole at the top where the material meets the stitching after the first use. The material did not rip. It looks like poor workmanship when the material was sewed into the binding. It slipped out of the double stitch causing the collected debris to be dumped right back into the pool. Very frustrating! I plan to mend the bag myself bc we need it now and can't wait for a replacement if we return it, but would definitely hesitate to buy another Polaris product.

I was surprised when I wanted a Polaris bag; there were a few on Amazon site that, for a few dollars less, advertised as Polaris but were not.
I figured out which was original Polaris and very happy with the product as in the past.
It keeps my pool clean and at 75$ an hour for vacuuming, it does the work.
I love it; I should not say the others don't work as well as I don't know.But to me the original as a first edition is always the best.

I bought cheap knock-offs less than 12 months before this purchase. These bags are designed to keep the debris In when the pump turns off. The zipper also doesn't getnfull of gunk and stays closed, unlike the Velcro on the knock off bags.

All in all, happy with this product but it was an expensive lesson.
