I am a big fan of the Japanese made high quality Sakura products. This offering requires reading the product page carefully. There are 16 pens with 12 colors; 4 duplicate colors. This is stated on the product page at the very end of the long product description. The reusable container is really just packaging and a throw away. They are not short pens but they are slender.

However, these .5mm fine point pens are ink color saturated with brilliant high gloss fine glitter to sparkle up any project. The ink dries quickly, flows even and dependably.

There is a unique feature that keeps that ink flowing dependably. Inside the pen's cap there is a small ball. When placing the cap on and clicking it firmly down, the point of the pen secures inside that small ball; keeping the glittered gel from clogging the point or drying up prematurely. Now that is Sakura product quality for ya!

Sakura has their own star twinkle names for their colors. Here are the colors enclosed in the package I received.

Blue - bluestar
light blue - skystar
green - limestar
red - rosestar
turquoise - marinestar
orange - copperstar
yellow - goldenstar
(2) of purple - purplestar
(2) of grey - silverstar
(2) of hot pink - redstar
(2) of light pink - pinkstar

Sakura products are high quality. But I feel a little cheated with this one, what with duplicate colors and size of pen. Otherwise, highly recommend.

Very pretty sparkles of silver dust! Here are the colors you get with this set... Copper star (looks like a pretty orange to me..), lime star, green star, rose star, blue star, golden star (looks more yellow to me..), sky star, marine star, 2-pink star, 2-red star, 2-purple star, 2-silver star. I wasn't sure if they were the same until I colored with them at the bottom, hence the two each for them. Based on my experience in coloring with these pens I highly recommend getting a label maker and naming them since the lids are clear & don't show the difference in colors. I grabbed the wrong green or blue sometimes when I was coloring with them. I kept having to color leaves on scratch paper to see what the colors were. Here is a picture of all the colors in a mass effect view (not a very pretty mix, but a nice representation of what they look like on a larger surface area and my "scratch" colored leaves. I think these colors look pretty neat together in a smaller area like on the leaves. I AM NOT AN ARTIST, just someone who has picked up coloring at bedtime to help go to sleep or to relax and take my mind off of things.

I was impressed with how fast I received this item - great service. Was a little disappointed that several of the colors where duplicated, but the description never said what colors where included. It was a great price none the less and the pens are of great quality (anything Sakura is awesome!). Love the shine and color these pens give any project. Buy with confidence, you will be happy.

These pens add a little sparkle to any project . They have become my new favorite. They are transparent, unlike the metallic gelly rolls so you can see any drawn details underneath. You can use these to lay a little shimmer on top of any drawing. Fun for zentangles.

You'll pay a little bit more for these than for other glitter pens, but it's so worth it! I've tried many brands, and these are absolutely reliable. Others will skip or dry up, but these stay smooth to the end.

The glitter is very small and the ink is not opaque, so it won't work on black paper. On anything light, these are beautiful! Micro shimmer.

The other thing I like about these is that there isn't the white line in the middle of the ink like you might notice with cheap pens. These take a few seconds to dry, but it's about the same as other gel ink.

I love using these glitter pens. Each one lays down a very thin layer of glittered ink. Works great when outlining small areas of cards embellishments and tags. My daughter is getting the clear ones because she wants to use them on her tattoo to make it shine. Sounds like a good idea for a night out on the town.

I love using these pens,the colors in the stardust are
absolutely beautiful, but the pens do not always
work. Is there a trick to get them started after they
are not used for a few weeks? I am not happy with a product
that randomly works. If I pay for all of the pens, I would
hope they all work until the ink is no longer visible inside
the barrel. I don't have time to call the company and
ask for help. I just expect the product to work. This has
happened with all of the different packs of pens I purchased
from Sakura. The white are the worst.

have written many supportive reviews of sakura pens. Love them all, especially the very smooth way they write. I have not had any problems with pens arriving dried out. But I must warn that all gel pens must be capped because they do dry out quickly if left open.
