Does the job, and its solid, but it is REALLY big hanging out there on the end of the barrel, without a light in it.
The thumb wheel holds the light securely, but really adds to the size. This is good to allow taking our illuminator on & off the rifle, to use as a hand held, while night hunting, but I will take the entire thing off the rifle when I'm not night hunting. Its just too big. There has got to be a better way.

I was looking for a way to mount my SuperTac X to my UTG Quadrail and this was the answer. The price may be a little higher than some would want to pay (I couldn't really find much to compare)but the quality was standard Streamlight expectations (excellent) and the fit and finish to mounting up the SuperTac was exceptional. I love the quick release feature that allows you to quickly detach the light by hand from the mount if need be.

Mounted my Streamlight IR torch on Picatinny rail with this piece. The grip on the light and attachment to rail is solid. Haven't had any issue with loosening or screws backing out. Set once and done. Can't ask for much more out of a mount.

Great mount and extremely easy to install. Only drawback is the tension wheel on the top of the mount is the only means to secure the device in the mount (i.e. no set screw or torque screw to set tension wheel in place). This mount works fantastic as a secondary light mount for cameras etc. but I would be weary of recoil-induced vibration loosening the tension wheel on weapons.

I consider this a very well constructed light mount. I had some reservations before purchasing because of the cost but I shopped around and could not find any other mounts for the size tube of my Streamlight flashlight. I'd say I got what I paid for because this is a very sturdy mount and I like the way the knob on top allows me to crank down on the light for a firm hold. Overall very happy with this product.

This is a very solid mount for a Streamlight IR Illuminator that should be purchased if you anticipate mounting the IR illuminator on your rifle or a night vision scope. It fits well on a picatinny rail mounting system and holds the illuminator very securely.
