I originally only bought the rubber gaskets on these to replace on my lights due to rusting around the area. When I went to remove the old lights, the plastic casing cracked from being so old. I then purchased these, which DO include the rubber gasket and internal bulb holder, but no bulb.

Save yourself some time and money and buy the whole unit ahead of time. It's a direct fit for the car. I ordered 2 of these, but you should order the correct ones for left and right, however it will work fine if you order two identical ones, but the plastic casing will be backwards inside your trunk (no one can see this or will know but you).

My car is a 1986 E28 535i with approximately 230k miles. Chances are yours are all yellowed and cracked like mine. You should use new screws as well.
