I Keep Buying Metabolic C -and combine it with other brands with higher dose or time release -as part of a regular somewhat high dose C regime which I've identified over the years as having a number of varying noticeable positive health effects for me (and part of an evolving overall herbal and plant based whole foods diet.) I'm not certain but my thought is the metabolic C is absorbed for sure and if I didn't take it I might look for other Cs brands - and dose and frequency. On the other hand I might not take metabolic C alone. Possibly expense or the thought of combining best of several approaches - buffering bio-flavonoids - for effectiveness and economics. Whatever. It's been a regular part of my program since I found out about the absorption issue. Ergo. The review.

I gave it three stars because I am not sure if it is much better than the regular Vit. C that I buy. I would give 3&1/2 stars if I could because I think it may be slightly better. I'm just not sure that slightly better is worth an extra star.

I work in healthcare and in schools, and am always around little kids who are sick with something (some have been superbugs like MRSA, Whooping Cough, and Entero), but I haven't caught anything in the two years since I discovered this wonderful brand. Vitamin C kills virus replication, highly recommend you try this stuff! I take 1,000 - 2,000 mgs a day during the summers, but in the winter months when everyone is sick and I'm working like a maniac, I bump it up. With this stuff you can do that without stomach upset like you/I get with other brands. The few times I've run out and not replaced it, my immune system is nowhere near as strong as it was and I start feeling like I'm fighting every bug I'm exposed to. I start back up with this brand and whatever I was fighting disappears quickly (not true with the others, or they give me gastric distress). If I think I'm fighting something (like when my kids came to stay and all had an awful flu), I bumped it to 3,000-5,000 mgs/day and took care of them, and didn't/still don't catch anything from anyone. This has happened more than once and this is the only thing that has been different. Truly an EXCELLENT product!
