I find this product picture and description to be misleading. At the time of this writing, the photo of the product includes the rollers, belt, and frame. The product feartures also states "Includes belt and Standard Frame which covers a wide range of wheelbases". Even the title "Kreitler Alloy Roller 'Set'" would seem to indicate that the frame is included. Upon arrival, I found that only the rollers and belt are included. I thought that the price was a little too good, but decided to order it anyway. I was weighing whether to return the rollers, but having tested these Kreitler rollers before, they are top notch and I want to start using them right away, as my old rollers are falling apart. I'm ordering a frame, but from a different vendor. I have sent a complaint to the vendor about the picture and description in order to give them a chance to fix webpage.

So, I am giving this item 3 stars. The Kreitler rollers themselves deserve 5 stars, but the purchase through Xtreme Bike and Sport was not so pleasant. It may not be vendor's fault, since if you buy a different size of roller, you go through a different vendor who may include the frame. I ordered the 3 in alloy. It could be Amazon's grouping of the product that is causing the issue. Anyway, my warning to you is to make sure you know what you are getting for the price.

Update 12/1/2015 - After 3 years of service, being used 6 times per week, the Kreitler Rollers are still in excellent shape. I have had to replace the cable one time since my original purchase, and nothing else. I would note that the only part that I do have to replace often related to roller use is the rear tire.Read more ›

I ordered the roller set around the same time as the prior review (thanksgiving 2012). The vendor i bought it from is Xtreme Bike & Sport, as mentioned in prior review i only received the drums. The item was purchased based on what was described below:

THE LAST LINE CLEARLY STATES "INCLUDES BELT AND FRAME SET"

Anyway i have been waiting for this thing since thanksgiving and i could no longer wait, i ordered the frame set from a different site all together for a cost of about 100 bucks. I don't have the patience to send this back and have to wait another few weeks for them to answer. I paid for express shipping of the frame, hopefully i can have a real review with in a few days.

DO NOT ORDER FROM XTREME BIKES AND SPORTS, unless you want to be disappointed. Based on this purchase i will not be buying cycling equipment on amazon any more.

The quality is evident in every aspect from the well rounded machined drums to the sturdy frame. Just make sure to check the tightness of the drum fastening bolts every once in a while, they tend to loosen up, which is understandable.

This is my first set of rollers so I have nothing to compare them to, but they are well built, and easy to assemble. We have been mountain biking for several years now and they were very easy to learn only took me about twenty minutes. If you have a mountain bike I would suggest getting a set of trainer tires they are very loud with a typical mountain bike tire. I almost bought the 4.5" rollers but I am glad I didn't I think they would have been too easy for me. I am riding in my middle chain ring and somewhere in the middle to low end of my cassette depending on how hard I want to push it. Overall I am very happy with my purchase just wish I would have done it sooner.
