This kit made a beautiful stocking. It was harder than I anticipated, however. There were many areas with very slight color variations, and I found it hard to differentiate them on the canvas. The end result is quite nice, but I don't recommend the kit for people with poor vision. If you see well, this is a nice project.

First stocking Ive ever done. I found it easy and fun. Would reccomend to anyone 1st time its not so detailed just lovely bold colorful picture. Took about 2 months to finish.

The stocking is beautiful and it was a very nice kit. My only complaint was that on the cloth/mesh some of teh colors were not easy to see (this wa steh case with the yellow cuff and the green check scarf). That meant referring to the picture a lot of making a best guess. Still turned out beautiful, but this took more time and frustrated me. Still a very pretty and unique pattern....just be prepared for an eye test.

This will be my fifth stocking. Full disclosure--I haven't started this one yet. But, the threads are separated and the directions don't tell me to separate each thread from the strand and add two more! I hated that step and this kit doesn't advise me to do this! Yah!

Like other kits, it is difficult to see the pattern. I take a marker and make it more clear. Needlepoint is very forgiving and if you make a little mistake you are the only one who would know. I'm excited to get started!

For those of you who are novices---it takes me a year to complete a stocking....I may work on it a few hours and then put it down for a couple of weeks. It all depends. Give yourself enough time to complete. It's the perfect craft while watching TV.

I knew by the reviews that it was going to be cotton floss and not a thick wool or even acrylic tapestry thread, but it just looks cheap. So I will have to go into my personal stash and go shopping to get the thread I want. The design is cute, though.

Although it's super cute, I would rather have a counted cross stitch pattern. This one has a color print on the cloth that is very hard to differentiate between slight color variations with a weird instruction/pattern sheet.
