While searching for the right pen to use in high quality Bibles, I came across Sakura's Pigma Micron. This pen is superior to the other types of disposable pens I have used in the past, both for drawing and writing. The ink flows smoothly while drawing and writing and doesn't bleed through most types of Bible paper. The ink is acid-free, chemically stable, waterproof, and fade resistant making it perfect for long lasting projects and writings.

I love these pens. They are waterproof and vivid and they deliver a very thin line. I do Zentangles (a new type of art) and these are a must for my projects. They never fail to give the best looking tangle images. The points on the pen are somewhat fragile, but not a problem, as long as you know to be careful and not drop the pen or press too hard. I think anyone who does small, detail work will appreciate these pens. I know I couldn't do without them.

I was recently introduced to this brand of pen by a friend, who noticed how small I often write. I was using a nice black pen with a .5mm point (nib?) to write on my papers, in my texts, and in my Bibles. She said that this Sakura variety of pen produces a much smaller line--at .25mm, it does!--and that it won't bleed through the fine paper so often used to produce Bibles. I was so pleased with the pen she gave me to use that I bought this six-piece set of colorful pens, as well. How nice it is to be able to have my notes in my Bible and other books jump out at me now in red, green, blue, et cetera! Admittedly, sometimes if you flip over a page you can see the writing through to the other side, but it does not bleed through or become blotchy and unattractive. Does that make any sense? When I would write with a 'normal' pen, you could see the writing but there would also be globs of ink where I pressed down harder during certain pen strokes than others. With these Sakura pens, if I pull a page up, I can see the writing a bit on the other side but there is no bleeding through.

I bought these pens to use in my Bible. They do not "bleed" through the paper (although you can faintly see the underlining on the reverse side). I really like them.

I use these pens for making quilt labels. I have used the black pigma pens before with no bleeding, but when i washed a test swatch with the various colors (after heat setting it), there was some color tranfer to other light colored fabrics. I think if you prewash your labels two or three times the color bleed stops, but it is definitely something to be aware of.

These are the best for my Bible studies, as they do not bleed thru the paper, but are clearly seen. I have used these for over 15 years and they work consistently well and last a long time. Just good writing instruments for sure, but wonderful to use in my books and journals too.
