We like glasses made of thick glass that kind of resemble the crackle glass styles of old. I think the price is reasonable: $5 apiece. We had another set of the amber color that have been our everyday glasses for over five years. They still look out of the box new. This glass doesn't seem to scuff like the cheap thin glass does.

Cross-posted as a review for both the highball and the 14 ounce.

We had been trying to get red glasses for everyday use for a few years when we came across these. Every other set we had, the glasses were either coated with red plastic that peeled off with regular use (despite advertising saying they were red glass, not red coated glass) or, if they actually were red glass, they were not dishwasher safe. Not exactly practical for everyday use.

When we ordered these, we were unsure, both because of bad experiences in the past, and because these glasses looked a bit pink in the pictures. Turns out, there was no reason to be unsure. These are an absolutely gorgeous shade of red, the color is in the glass itself - no coating, and they are nice and thick. Sturdy enough for daily use whilst still being very pretty. They would be gorgeous for people who use separate dishes for outdoor use as well, as they cast beautiful light when they catch the sun.

We ended up buying an extra set of four in each size just to make sure that even if they stop producing them and we end up breaking one or two, we'll still have a full set. We've had them since February 2011, and despite being dropped on both hardwood and tile floors, caught on the counter-lip when removed from the dishwasher and one instance of having cold liquid poured into a glass still hot from the dishwasher (oops! :o ), there is not a single crack or chip in any of them.

Though I've given five stars on amazon before (and, in all honesty, tend to be fairly generous with high star reviews) this is one of those cases that I can say with no caveats that the product really is worth the high rating.

Was searching for purple glasses I could use every day and am very pleased with this selection. The color is great. Liked the shape and weight. Also ordered the smaller (7-8 oz?) size and use them both every day. Amazon was the only source I found for this type of glass.

I loved the look and feel of these glasses. They got many compliments from visitors. I've had mine for about a month now, and one of them cracked tonight when I poured cold water into it. Fortunately, the glass didn't shatter, but it is completely unusable. Something about the way these glasses are made causes them to crack and break for no reason. Of course, now I see the other reviews bringing up this problem, too, but it's too late for me. It's not too late for you! You're better off buying a sturdier glass elsewhere.

I've had these glasses in red for over two years now and they still look beautiful! They are durable, very thick with a heavy base. They have a bubble effect, which looks great! They transition well from everyday to slightly formal dining. They have a mark on the bottom that I think is from being hand blown. Because of this, they are all just barely different heights, which you only notice when you put them away in the cabinet. If you are looking for glasses that won't break easily and look amazing, look no further!

I love the weight & the color of the pitcher but apparently they have changed the poring spout since I bought the last one. This one is impossible to pour from without it leaking out everywhere. I thought it was me but no one has been able to pour from it. I am really disappointed, this is replacing one I had used for many years without problems, until it accidently got broken. We use it everyday, not sure what to do with it. I hate to spend the money for a different one, but I guess I will have to. This one is worthless unless you want to use it as a vase.

I'm in love with these cups! They are stunning in person. Not your typical glasses (which I love). They arrived on time and well packed. To me the glasses are thick and they have some weight to them. They not not likely to get chipped or cracked if they get hit softly. Overall I do recommend. The color matches the online photo. There were no surprises there.
