Black/White yellows when they fade

Vans changed the dye used in the black and whites, so now they yellow when they fade. My latest pair was purchased in 2012. All previous pairs have faded to gray. I've posted a picture comparing an old pair to my latest pair. I've already contacted Vans about this, so hopefully it'll be fixed. http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B0015ZVJRW

Poor quality.

The colour of the gum sole did not match the picture. It is faded and do no have contrast of the gum sole and black canvas. I want to emphasise again that the gum sole is FADED! I can see hints of black from the canvas through the gum sole! Ridiculous! And after 1 week of casual wearing and just walking about, the areas at the side where the shoe forms creases with the canvas and rubber is slowly coming apart probably because the glue is old or the shoe has been kept for too long! The pictures wouldn't do justice.

Great Sneakers

they look great with shorts

This is my 3rd pair. I prefer these because of the extra cushion around the ankle. I wear these in the summer , they look great with shorts. I find them very comfortable. I've always order the white, very easy to spot clean. I am sure you can put them in the wash as well. I will continue to order these as long as they are selling them. :) Also perfect to use as boat shoes. These do look very similar to the Van without the edge padding around the ankle, those are not as comfortable for my taste and I think these have a better look.

My son absolutely loves it

I had accidentally bought this for my son and had filled out the "return" form as soon as I realised that. Turns out when I picked up the shoes from the PO I decided to let my son try it before I return it. Good thing he did. Now this is the only shoes that he wears (to school, to play, to go out) :). He told me they fit so well and are very comfortable.

The color is black, obviously, and they fit good. It's a Vans product, so you know they're well made. My daughter really likes them, I've not heard any complaints, that's a plus. I'm sure like all other Vans products, she'll get a couple of years wear out of them.

These run a lil on the narrow side so if you don't like your Vans snug get a size bigger but remember the will stretch as you break them in!
