Matching product for pre-existing Schlage products, which we had. Only product of the line that is Right or Left, so make sure you order the correct one. Of the Flair line, these are the cheapest looking. Levers have slight amount of play during opening/closing. Not a big deal, just mentioning as I would prefer a completely solid feel. I have also mentioned about this Flair line, the screw holes are not hidden. So, to me, this makes them a middle grade cosmetically.

Laminated finish. Looks fine from a distance and even up close. HOWEVER, installation can delaminate the coating around the screw holes.

I installed these in place of the brass product present since new in 1993. Previously Schlage, too. Fit was almost perfect. Some screws were angled in the doors. This resulted in the heads of the screws contacting the escutcheon prior to fully seating into the screw hole. When this happened, it slightly dented the metal, delaminating the coating. Cannot see from a distance, but up close (and I'm OCD) it is noticeable. Disappointing.

Tip: Seat the screws into the screw holes PRIOR to engaging them into the previous holes. Start one, advance a bit, then start the other. If the screws are not parallel (and most are not), you'll likely benefit from advancing each a bit at a time until the escutcheon is fully flush against the door.

Don't be insulted by this lever. You can be a dummy too and install this lever. Actually it is called a dummy lever because it does not rotate or have a latch- it is just a handle to grab onto to. I used it on a linen closet where I did not need a lever or knob on both sides of the door. You will also need a separate door latch.

I needed a right hand door lever for an exterior entry door because I purchased 4 entry door Schlage handsets with double sided deadbolts for maximum security. Home Depot's website indicated these were LH RH interchangeable but they were for LH doors. I was confused but I went by the picture and this door lever is for a RH door if it is an exterior door. It will fit either side of an interior door as they are interchangeable.

We bought a house with all brass hardware so we are slowly going through and changing everything to satin nickel as we prefer that color. Love the design and ease of installation. The only pain for me was that I am replacing an existing handle so the template didn't match exactly with how the original owner installed his dummy handle. I just wanted to make sure that the new one covered the holes from the original so I just had to do my own measurements and check that it was plumb. If you are installing on a brand new door or the old handle's holes will be covered by the template, then this will be a snap. The template shows exactly where to put your two pilot holes and then you screw it in.

Nice looking and substantially built. However, the missing mounting screws really push the envelope. Like some say, you cannot touch something once because the something often is incorrect as this illustrates. The lever looks great in the box as it will not be on the door!.......update - called Schlage and they will send the screws in 7-10 business days!!!!!!!!

I ordered this item along with 3 sets of matching privacy levers and 1 passage lever for a master-bath remodeling project. This was intended to replace old worn-out builders knobs on a double-door entry into the jacuzzi room. Imaging my surprise when I opened the box and there was no matching lever for the back side of the door, to match the working set on the mating door. The description could be a little less vague, but the product is nice. If you're ordering this to replace old hardware, also be advised that there's no through-the-door barrel hardware, so you'll have to plug the hole that may have been there for the legacy hardware.
