We use all of Arora's spice packets. They are an ideal compromise "convenience" food: wholesome, authentically spicy, yet easy to prepare.

The only way to come close to this quality is to stock the individual spices yourself, and create your own mix. Not a bad idea, but in the meantime, this is a great way to go.

We always use at least one large, fresh green hot pepper, and often add one or two dried peppers (often chipotles) as well, for a fuller, more fiery flavor.

Serve these dishes with plain yogurt and some naan, and you're livin'!

Really delicious. Great on tofu or meat. Takes the thinking out of "Indian Spice cooking". Great as is or add canned tomatoes, cubed potatoes, coconut milk, little butter and lemon zest for yummy sauce. Serve with rice.

I just love this product. Was introduced to it at a tasting at Whole Foods in Portland, Oregon and at New Seasons in Happy Valley, Oregon. Both stores have stop carring this particluar spice. They carry other Aurora varieties but not this one. This is my favorite & I take this dish to every pot luck & everyone says "where can I get this spice packet?" I hope I can still keep getting it from Amazon.

Bought this at a specialty food store. Wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised with how well the dish turned out. Tweaked the cooking instructions a bit, but the spices are legit! Paired this gobi dish with the Chicken Tikka Masala spice. Winner!
