Cables - such common items. But this one- this is my cable. I opened the box and that fresh plastic sent wafts up. Ahh! I love this cable. It's so flexible!
(Mine came with a twisty tie.)

After unwrapping the twisty tie, I easily un-coiled the cable. The rj45 connector slides in to the receptacle smoothly and seats with a satisfying click. I ran the cable around to the other side of the room and was able to tuck the cable into the space between the floor boards and the carpeting. I had none of that stiffness you sometimes get in cheaper cables that make it pop up out of where its not supposed to pop up out of.
As I finished the installation, plugged in the opposite end of the cable into the router and slid the excess cable out of site behind the desk, I felt an incredible sense of accomplishment. The room seemed to get a little brighter. I could hear birds outside my window.
I fired up the PC and router. Amazing - everything works!

Life is good.

Needed these to run new router for my computer. Arrived quickly and seem to be made of good quality. Same speed as my other cat52 cables. So far have held up well and price could not be beat. Would definitely buy again.

Pro: MUCH more inexpensive compared to local 'Radio Shack' and 'Best Buy' rip offs

Pro: got exactly what I ordered

Con: About a month after purchase the sheathing around the cable has cracked along the length and has pulled away from one of the RJ45 jacks. Cable still works fine.
All in all, for the price, I can live with it, and it doesn't affect functionality, but is something to watch for.

Network cabling is a commodity. It is cheap, widely available and performs a well defined function reliably for the most part.

So, what sets a cable apart? For me it is the connectors and boots and how they are constructed. Especially the anti-snag design which these cables from iMBAPrice are effect at. The design appears just like the one on the Cable Matters Cat6 Patch Cables. The anti-snag works well and can be pushed out of the way so the release can be pressed in tight spaces.

It is possible for the rubber piece to slide *under* the release tab making it very difficult to release if you don't notice. If you do it's very easy to push the rubber tab off to the side and release the cable, so no big deal.

For taking a step-up on the common commodity these get 5 stars.

I used to make my own, but I do not have a local cable source anymore(no home depot here) and my crimping tool burned up along with my car. This is not nearly as cheap, but much cheaper than you would pay for a pre-made cable at a big box store. My only reson for deducting a star is that the outer jacket does not flex well, like my bulk cable did. It is rather stiff and it cracks easily, especially in cold locations and with lots of movement, as I use it. If this will be in a warm location and rarely moved, it will work great. For the price I cannot complain, I just put duct tape on it. If all problems were so easy.

I got this to run Ethernet to my PC in my bedroom from my Router. I was very excited when It came in it's original Package. It's a very nice, heavy duty cable. You won't go wrong with buying this. Plus if it's too long for what you need, just use a Zip-Tie, and you're good to go.

The cable is flimsy and I don't think it is in accordance with EIA/TIA standards. I haven't recorded any Gigabit speed yet since I started using this certain cable. I need a longer cable for temporary use so I came across this product. If you are not really concerned about the transfer speed this might do the work but if you are, I suggest you get some other better cable out there. Although the item was shipped fast, I don't think I would recommend this product.
