Editorial Reviews

Product Description

Four young directors from Malaysia s new wave of cinema pool their talents for this anthology of wicked horror tales set during the Chinese Hungry Ghosts Festival in cosmopolitan Kuala Lumpur.
Low Ngai Yuen s 1413 is a tale of teenage suicide gone awry. In WAITING FOR THEM, James Lee (The Beautiful Washing Machine) follows the misadventures of two friends who let a bona fide ghost come between them. NODDING SCOOP by Ng Tian Hann concerns a filmmaker who shoots a freaky ritual in which participants call forth a spirit that makes predictions, and ANYBODY HOME by Yuhang Ho is a story of deadly obsession.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not up to standards., April 2, 2009
If you're accustomed to quality supernatural or horror movies this film is going to be a disappointment An obviously very low budget for this type of film in these days is not going to satisfy an audience accustomed to impressive localities and visual effects. And to have four crammed into an hour just makes it feel undeveloped and rushed. The stories themselves were nothing out of the ordinary. To the directors and crew - keep trying. We all have to start somewhere.
