I am yet to come across another men's dress that is as comfortable as kurta payjama in warm and humid regions of the world. That is probably the reason why it is so popular in India. Kurta and payjama are both made in very light weight fabric, often cotton. So they never feel like burden on the body. The dress is also made quite loose, so the air keeps circulating between the body and the fabric. I specially like the fact that the trousers have waist strings which one can suitably adjust while he is sitting or walking. The dress allows covering the entire body, from neck to feet, thus protecting the body from any kind of sun burn. Kudos to those who invented this dress.
