I loved my Vasque Sundowner Classics! They were well broken in, provided ankle support and served my well in my college backpacking days along the Blue Ridge Parkway. 2 kids later my feet have gotten wider, so they no longer fit. I liked how well constructed they were. No plastic parts to break. I am contemplating purchasing a pair of Vasque Sundowner Summits as a replacement because Vibram soles are necessary for hinking across lava flows.

I got a pair of these in college. I took good care of them but I wore them a lot - especially in the winter. They wore like iron and were comfortable for hiking. These were my favorite boots ever. After almost daily wear during the winter for almost 15 years they finally developed a fatal crack. I will now always have a pair of vasque boots.

Bought these boots for my wife for Christmas. She loves the boots! True to size and were very comfortable. Only problem was how they were shipped. They were just thrown loosely in a shipping box! There was NO shoe box. NO paper, NO bubble wrap. The toes of the boots were all scuffed up when I received them, which I believe happened during shipping. I decided to keep them, as I did not want to go through the hassle of sending them back. I would recommend these boots, but would suggest you somehow make sure they are packaged properly before they send them out to you!
