This product is superior to my other canister filter. It is so much easier to connect and disconnect from the canister. I love the stacking basket system for the mechanical, biological, and chemical filtering. My water quality has never been better, and I must say I really struggled prior to my Rena Filstar xP3. My fish are very happy, healthy and breeding well.
It is sooo silent I have to double check to make sure it is running. It filters a tremendous amount of water per hour giving me a crystal clear tank. I love it.

I own 2 of these filters, and they are CHEAP replicas of a Fluval. Spend the money and don't waste your time with Rena. My tank is so cloudy, I have been struggling to keep up the "cheap" persona and bought a "Fluidized Bed" filter that also did nothing, but it was CHEAP !!!!

I finally broke down last night and bought a Fluval FX5. If only you could see how CLOUDY my water is. I have given in to changing my filters every 2 weeks, but it still doesn't help. I am running 2 xp2's on a 100 gallon tank. Go figure.

I have had 20 yrs of aquarium experience, and when I had Fluvals, my tank was ALWAYS clear.

I have previously owned a 125 gallon tank using 2 Fluval 403's and my water was crystal clear. I am using the same media as before, go figure.

I would say that if you are planning to only keep a light load on your tank, these filters might work for a while, but if you are planning to load your large tank up with large fish, then you need to get serious and spend some money to get a GOOD filter.

These are CHEAP IMITATIONS.
