I wear contacts while working on the computer at work, and naked eyes at home. One problem I always had at work is I would feel very tired a few hours into working. I stopped wearing contacts for a long time, years, and that problem went away. So I deduced my contacts were somehow causing me to feel drowsy. When I heard about these computer glasses I did some quick research and found people who said they really worked but just complained about the price. Since I was wanting to start back wearing contacts I just had to buy these.

First, they really do put a yellowish tint on everything, but after a while you just get used to white backgrounds being a tad yellowish. There is a +0.2 diopter prescription on the lenses so they're a tad like weak reading glasses. But personally I think it's the amber tint that really makes these glasses shine. I no longer feel drowsy while wearing my contacts when doing computer work. This is a huge plus because I can actually be more productive. I had a coworker try them out and he immediately noticed a difference. He, like I, discovered the screen is a lot easier to look at with these glasses than without. He doesn't need contacts or any vision correction to see normally, but even still he experiences headaches after using the computer for long periods; we're both software developers.

If you can find amber tinted lenses you can probably get the same effect as these glasses for a cheaper price. I think these should be priced around $50 or $60 maybe. Regardless, they do work as advertised so I'm happy with my purchase.

As a side note I've also tried some natural vision recovery throughout the years.

It's safe to say I spend upwards of 12 hours a day in front of computer screens between work and home. That being said, I've had issues with eye strain and occasional migraines resulting from the strain. After one week wearing the glasses I found they perform as advertised and more. While wearing the glasses I can feel less strain of focus and after a long day I can enjoy my downtime at home with out bringing in the eye strain from work. A wonderful, added benefit I found is that when I take time away from the computer screen to read a document the slight magnification lessens eye strain while reading black and white documents throughout the day. In summary they reduce eye strain noticeably while in front of the computer screen and when reading documents. They work and are worth the current investment/price, but they're at the max price point given level of quality in materials and construction.

I have 3 pairs of Gunnars and they are wonderful, really, but they are very fragile. My Rockets lost the nosepiece plastic and I haven't found a replacement for it yet, but what I'm really unhappy about is that my Wi-Fives were broken and Gunnar has an awful repair policy.

These Wi-Fives were my absolute favorite pair, except the arms are made of plastic, unlike my other Gunnars. One day I dropped them and in the process of picking them up I slipped and torqued the arm, causing it to break off just after the hinge. I tried calling Gunnar, but the number I had was for corporate and I got voicemail (apparently everyone was at the CES show and there wasn't a warm body left to answer the phone). So I called the customer service number (which is actually a sales line), but all they could do is sell me a new pair at full price. To her credit, the salesperson found a return form and emailed it to me later though. So here's the rub...they couldn't (or wouldn't) just send me a replacement arm, I would've had to ship them to CA at my expense, pay them $19.95 to repair them, and pay for return shipping. It was cheaper to buy a new pair of Rockets instead. So my Wi-Fives sit in a junk box until I can get around to making a new arm with my 3D printer, they're going to be there a while...

I've had 4 pairs of Oakley sunglasses repaired over the years, all for free by Oakley. I even had a special edition pair that was 5 years out of production that a CS guy from Oakley went and dug through a box in the warehouse to find a replacement arm for. I would have paid for a new arm for my Gunnars, I even asked if I could pay the $19.95 plus shipping for them to just send me the arm, and they wouldn't do it. Rediculous. Now that there are more competitors on the market, my next pair of computer glasses won't be Gunnars.

I got these glasses off Woot for a really good price, and I've only worn them for a day. But I already love them.

For starters, I have excellent eye sight. I've always been able to read every line on the eye chart, so I'd say I probably have 20/15 vision. I spot stuff that other people don't notice all the time. I'm not sure how these glasses work with someone who has poor eyesight (obviously you'd need to wear contacts with these), but for my vision they are great.

I bought these because I do computer repair. I spend my work day walking around, working on multiple computers, staring at screens all day. My eye fatigue got so bad that when I saw these for sale, I seriously contemplated buying some. I didn't buy them, because I figured they couldn't be that good. Then I saw them on sale again and decided to buy a pair, because at that point I was having trouble just focusing my eyes. Staring at anything was just laborious.

Well today, I put these on at work and after about 20 minutes I was already in love. When I'm wearing these, my eyesight is effortless. Focusing on anything at any distance doesn't feel difficult at all. It's like I have a brand new pair of eyeballs. I'm absolutely shocked by what a difference these glasses made. And again, it took only maybe 20 minutes for me to notice a difference (probably mostly just adjusting to the glasses).

When I take them off, everything seems to have a blue tint to it and the labor of focusing on things come back. That's the caveat, for me. These glasses are so good that I never want to take them off. They're light and extremely comfortable, but after about 5 hours I did notice some pinching behind my ears. No problems with weight on my nose at all.
