This worked for me this flu season. The taste was not bad. Everyone around me got the flu, but I stayed healthy. I took it twice a day. My 5 year old hated the taste and would not drink it. My 3 year old liked it, but broke out in hives. Apparently he's alergic to elderberries. We gave him Benadryl and he was fine. It was strange because he's not alergic to anything else. Beware giving it to little ones.

The taste is a little strong for the kiddos so they get it 50/50 with water and they love it. Every house should have this on hand!

I was looking to naturally boost my immune system and this did the trick! If I was feeling under the weather I added this to my tea a couple times during the day and it did the trick. Elderberry is highly recommended by Natasha Campbell-Mcbride, author of The GAPS diet and it's one of the main ingredients. If you're worried about the alcohol that is contained in this... just add it to almost boiling water the alcohol evaporates off because it has a lower boiling point that water. Alcohol is a natural preservative, there is nothing wrong with it, much better than the junk preservatives that you find in the conventional store bought products. If you are looking for the full medicinal properties though... the raw honey that is in it shouldn't be heated about 115 degrees, but at the dosage that this calls for, particularly for an adult, I'm not concerned about the alcohol content... here's to your health!

I use this instead of antibiotics when I feel a sore throat coming on. It does have vinegar in it, so don't take a bunch on the first try until you get used to it; work up to a tablespoonful. The elderberry and honey is soothing and tastes great.
