You can take vitamin C powder orally as you would a chewable tablet or whatever, but I use it cosmetically. I read an article years ago written by a dermatologist raving about the benefits of vitamin C powder for skin. It smooths fine lines and plumps up the tissues, and since vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, it's even supposed to help fight skin cancer! I swear it makes my skin look at least five years younger. I use it on my chest and hands as well as my face, mixed with my regular cleanser daily. Can be irritating to sensitive skin, I've read, although I've never had that problem. if so, I'd recommend simply using a smaller quantitiy in proportion to the cleanser. Great stuff!

For about ten years now I have suffered from severe anxiety and panic disorders. So, of course, I have gone to the doctors for relief from these disorders, but, as one would expect, their only corrective course was to throw every kind of medication at me that they could think of, and some of those medications were very heavy narcotics. So as time went on I decided to end that course of treatment and rather I opted for a more natural course for relieving my issues. Although this natural course has been a bit of a trial and error one, I have found that a high intake of standard and complex vitamins have been very beneficial, including Vitamin C.

Over the years I have written a handful of reviews for items like GABA, INOSITOL, and EMERGEN-C, each have been beneficial in their own way. It was the EMERGEN-C that introduced me to the benefits of high dose Vitamin C. After further research I found that Vitamin C can help to regulate the adrenal gland and support general health. I have been taking the Vitamin C for about 2 weeks now and am very happy with the results so far.

First, the powder is pretty bitter and even small amounts in water can turn your tongue. However, if you mix 1,000-2,000mg with orange juice the bitterness is harder to taste. If you go beyond that dosage you'll find the bitterness return, so it is best to take 1000-2000mg every 3-4 hours if your taking the higher 5,000mg daily dose.

If you are not informed about Vitamin C megadosing, I highly encourage you to research the internet before using this product. Dr. Linus Pauling (honored with a Nobel Peace Prize and a Nobel Prize for his research) completed extensive research concerning Vitamin C megadoses. Be aware that Vitamin C megadoses are known to be associated with harsh diarrhea (usually temporary until the body adjusts).
This product is extremely potent and gives a lot of bang for the buck (so to speak). Not as convenient as tablet form but seems to be more effective and has better absorption. I mix it with TANG orange drink mix or Country Time Lemonade drink mix (5000 mg - which is about one slightly heaping teaspoon - with a 500 ml [approx. 16 oz.] bottle of water and one scoop of drink mix). This makes the strong tartness of the Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) more palatable.
I highly recommend this product (but do your research or consult your physician before beginning a Vitamin C megadose regiment).

All you need to do is take about a half teaspoon of this everyday to get your Vitamin C dosage. I mix it with a few ounces of orange juice, because it is very acidic. I also mix a little with fresh avocado to make a 20 minute face mask. One bottle last me about 6 months, so getting two for this price is awesome for the year!

I've been taking Vitamin C for years. After reading about the health benefits of Vitamin C Powder over Vitamin C in pill form, I tried this and am glad I changed. I will never be without this Vitamin C powder. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

It's an overall good product. I wish they produced a bigger quantity bottle for this. Otherwise great to put in water, tea, or smoothies. Helps with colds, flu, and fatigue.

I recently bought a Vitamin C Crystals from NOW, and I'll say I still prefer this product and will go back to it after I'm done.

I'm not saying this is a bad product but I tried to use it to make a Vitamin C facial serum and I could not get this to dissolve. I've tried it multiple times and waited a few days while stirring constantly and still it doesn't dissolve. I'll use it as a vitamin supplement instead but had to order another product for my serum recipe.

I'm coming down to the last of my Thompson Vitamin C &
I'll probably end up ordering more. I use this in my Liposomal
Vitamin C mixture & it works great! I've also drank it in juice
as well. You can feel this stuff working.
Great price, & a great product!
