This binder is tough enough to go into industrial environments without fear of destroying it. It also looks very professional. I love the plastic covers. I literally have had grease, chocolate, beer, wine, syrup, soda, and juice hit this cover and it wipes right off.

It might look nice because it does, but it is terrible to use. I just started 8th grade and needed 2 composition notebooks so i got this one and a sparkley pink notebook from staples. I use both everyday but i hate the fivestar notebook. Every time you open it it just folds back down to close and i have to put something on top of it to hold it down. It feels cheap. I really love the color the brand everything but i just hate that it never stays open and its starting to rip because i hold it down all the time to stay open so beware it looks nice but you might have trouble keeping open especially if your in school taking pages and pages of notes.

As far as composition notebooks go, this is probably by the far the best quality notebook. The binder is nice and secure, and the plastic cover can be easily wiped, which is nice in the Chem lab. The price on Amazon was better than Target.

I knew going in to this purchase that it was assorted, and to me, that means there's about 6 or 7 different colors? of course i got pink. and i read a few others got pink. so you will probably get pink too. if you're not into pink, don't waste your money. otherwise, it's a very good notebook.

I bought this book for my 8th grade language arts class and it lasted throughout the year, the only complaint that i have is that the black siding ended up peeling off halfway through the year. I taped the siding back on and it stayed together, so overall a nice cheap composition book. You can also get these at Target or Walmart.

Solid notebook, but looked like I ordered it used from scuffed cover. No complaints about quality otherwise. Also, the color will vary, so don't feel tempted by the red. You might get navy like I did.

My kids prefer these to the basic composition books. They are a bit more expensive, but the covers are more durable and the colors are better. I would recommend.
