This product is cheap, strong, and looks nice. One 18" rack can hold almost 10 knives very securely and it also comes with the mounting hardware. I bought two since it was such a great price.

My wife and I fell victim for the cheap price tag. And that's exactly what we got--CHEAP!

This item is completely useless as a knife holder. Upon taking it out of the box, we found only a 2" area was strong enough to hold a knife! The other 11" was a huge "dead spot", not even strong enough to hold our smallest paring knife or a metal ruler.

It makes for quite an awkwardly utilitarian fridge magnet, but that's the best that can be said about this brick of plastic and metal. Save your money, don't even consider this item any further.

The item is made of cheap materials, which is not unexpected. Unexpected was the poor construction/execution of manufacture. The metal rails that carry the "magnetism" are not finished nicely, with rough edges that can use some filing to smooth them out. Also the rails are not aligned properly, so the knives cannot touch all the rails, thus the magnetic hold is weak. The knives are held, but not strongly. If you were to accidentally bump up against a knife, it is likely to fall, with damage to knife and injury to nearby persons possible.

I took the item apart to see if I could fix the rail alignment, but it is not possible, because they are epoxied into position.

Will have to order another, better rail.

LOL. They were stuck to each other....through the boxes! So yes, they have grip! I had to test my knives on it, and they did, right through the box, so I know it will work as soon as my husband mounts in on the wall.....

I got this item to help organize my earrings, also works great for tools in the garage such as drill bits, in the bathroom to tweezers clippers Bobbie pins and more. Not all of my earrings are magnetic however, some of the nicer sterling sliver and gold ones don't work but the majority of my earrings are cheap so this works great for me.

I purchased two 24 inch and one 13 inch magnetic bars . I'm comparing these to a couple wooden ones and one metal one I purchased about a year ago and paid more for all of those . These plastic ones are well constructed, came with the mounting hardware and were very easy to mount . Look good on the wall too . They hold knives as well or better than any of my others, were cheaper to buy, and I'm very pleased . If I had it to do over I would buy these instead of the others . I have a large number of knives and some very large chef knives (10-12 inch forged Carbon Steel blades) that these hold very well . The only problem was one had a corner chipped off but the shipping box had really been handled rough by FedX (really crushed and battered) so that wasn't the products fault . I was able to repair that with epoxy, but it would not have effected the use anyway. Got a better deal than I expected and would recommend to anyone .

That's all I have to say. It's made of flimsy plastic and it seems like it shouldn't, but it works and works well. Holds a chef's knife, paring knife, tongs, can opener, and scissors comfortably. I'd say you could probably get 5 chef's knives on it without overcrowding.

Bought two of these to store my knives on the side of my cupboard and save some counter space. they are very solid and have strong magnets; which securely hold each knife. I have had them installed for several months now and no loss of magnet strength. Price was great, too!
