My wife knits stuffed animals and I bought these for her to add rattles to some of her toys.

I as a little leery on buying these because I didn't know if the balls inside it were plastic or metal, which makes a big difference in how much noise they will make.

I was pleased to see that they are in fact metal which is what I was hoping for, they make a decent amount of noise for their size and will work perfectly.

The casing itself is made of plastic, and I do not foresee them ever coming apart. The only potential problem would be them cracking open if they somehow get crushed (stepped on?) but it would take more than a child's weight to do that.

The price is also better than anything we found in local and big box stores.

At first, I was looking for the small rattle noise maker to fit in the small stuffed animals for the baby. I was thinking to buy ping-pong balls and cut a slash to put some rice but then I was thinking that it is a bad idea because the stuffed animals need to be washed and the water will go inside of the ping pong.
Then I was curious to see in the Amazon website and to my surprise, they do have rattle noise makers for dolls. They are so perfect for my stuffed animals and waterproof if someone want to wash the stuffed animals.

I was so excited to receive this order. Rattles are a very quality product and came in very short time from when I placed the order. They are a little louder than I expected, but not too loud to affect the quality of the product I'm making.
