We used it under the base of a 47 inch tv so. Built a half wall in basement so tv would block exercise equipment and we can swivel easily to watch from sofa or swing around and watch while on exercise equipment. A great find!

UPDATE: Nov. 2013.....As a follow up, I posted pictures of the half wall and the captions summarize how we secured it. The only place I saw that pics could be posted was on the main page of the product itself. Capacity Bearing Turntable Bearings VXB

I build Lazy Susans, usually out of wood, but have now started making them out of 1/2 in granite squares 12x12 or 16x16. I also build turntables for large flat screen TV's. When choosing the size of the lazy susan give some consideration to weight. I use the 6" mechanisms for the heavier objects to be placed on turntable. They work great. With the lighter wood turntables I use the 3", but build a base for them to sit. I have built about 25 of them, and I always add a little grease, or light weight oil to the bearings before I screw in the bearings.

This little turntable is made solid. It turns smoothly and quietly. It is amazing that something so small can handle so much weight.
I bought two. The second will be used for a slide out caster mount for my TV.
The first is being used for a little caddy for my remote control 'clickers'. It weighs less than 1 pound and even without the weight that many turntables require to spin smoothly, this one does.

I find it hard to believe that someone actually gave this 1 star because they do not know how to use tools to properly mount.

For my remote control caddy, I attached it to a piece of leather with rivets. After I get the patent, I will update and include a pic.
I will include a pic of the TV swivel base when a get a-round-tuit. (anybody got one?)

On that note:

Ladies, When a man says he will fix something, he will.

There is no need to remind him every 6 months! :>)

I am an artist and I made a sculpture that needed to rotate in the wind. I searched boating chair swivels, bar stool swivels, but they were just not free moving enough. I read some other comments about how this one was quick to spin. This was perfect. I purchased two, one from here and one from another seller, just in case this one didn’t work. This is the one I used. My only concern now, is the metal is not rust proof. I guess not many Lazy Susan’s run into water hazards. So this not an outside item but with a little rustoleum, you can make it work fine. It holds plenty of weight (mine is holding 25lbs) and still functions level and smooth. Excellent for the price. Wish I would have found this first. I'll be back!

We've had this for about 8 months, and are using it as a turntable for airbrushing custom cakes. It hasn't given us any problems despite being on a cabinet on our back porch and exposed to occasional blowing rain. I would buy another again if we ever need one.
