Jerry Hossom is a professional knifemaker who specializes in large fixed blades suited to the challenges of the outdoors. Now his exceptional designs are available to everyone through Spyderco's -Inch Hossom -Inch series. Inspired by one of Hossom's most popular designs and available in four different sizes, these knives feature broad, full-bellied blades flat ground from European N690Co steel, a material with an enviable reputation for cutting performance and edge retention. Featuring full-tang construction for strength and balance, they also feature a finger choil that allows -Inch choking up -Inch closer to the blade for more precise control and serves as an effective integral handguard. Textured jimping on the thumb ramp further enhances control of the knife during use, and contoured green Micarta handles provide a secure, positive grip even during hard use. Every Hossom knife comes equipped with a custom-molded Boltaron (Kydex) sheath with a versatile G-Clip belt mount. The Hossom Forager is the second largest of the series at 14 inches overall and has a 7-1/2-Inch blade.
