I bought these to make 240 cupcakes for my son's wedding, a task greater than I've ever taken on. I purchased them due to the cost savings but was pleasantly surprised when they arrived that the paper liner and foil outer were fused. The end results was that, unlike the ones I buy at the grocery store, the baked cupcakes didn't separate from the foil once they cooled. The wedding colors were silver and blue so these were perfect!

The liner sticks badly to whatever you are cooking in it. If you spray the liner with cooking spray first it helps, but seriously? Thats a pain. I get the foil cups to try to simplify things; I dont need a cupcake pan with them. But I was hoping these would be like the reynolds brand and they unfortunately are not as high of quality. They retain shape well through the cooking process though.

These cups did their job - they looked very nice for my sister's wedding shower cupcakes. They are a bit expensive; I could have gotten paper cups at the dollar store, but I wanted silver, so I paid the price. I will say these cups are sturdier; they don't get soggy like paper cups do and they act like little plates when you are eating your cupcake, which is good, so you don't drop crumbs everywhere.

I used the Silver Foil bake cups to bake a portion of ~100 cupcakes for my son's first birthday party. The cups are lined with a white paper that you do not remove as it is attached to the foil. While the cupcakes are still cooling the foil did stick slightly to the cupcakes. They came off a little cleaner once the cupcakes were a day old. They were different varieties of cupcakes, including gluten free and the results were the same throughout.

The first problem I had with this was the package was completely squished, so all the cups were kind of mangled. But that's an issue I need to take up with the seller, or maybe USPS.

The big problem is that the inside of the tins are lined in paper. I normally get the kind that are completely foil, I didn't realize there was paper inside these when I ordered them. So the first thing I tried to use them for is making my lotion bars. Once the ingredients cooled enough to take them out of the liners, I COULD NOT get the liners off! Now I've got all these lotion bars that have bits of paper stuck to them.

I was curious if the problem was maybe the fact that I was using lotion bars with them, so out of curiosity's sake, I cooked up a quick batch of breakfast cups using them. They didn't have bits of paper sticking to them (except one), but it was very hard to get them out, and I ended up with a lot of the biscuit stuck to the inside.

Sooooo... these were a big fat flop for me. I think I will have to save these for making muffins, and spray them well with cooking spray before using them.

Oh well... lesson learned.

***4/28/14 UPDATE***
This was a 1 star review, however, I am changing it to a 3 star review. The cups that I used at first were the ones that had been mangled from shipping. (They were hard to get off, and left bits of paper on the cups.)

However, as I got down to the cups that weren't mangled, toward the bottom of the stack, these all act fine. I haven't baked with the non-mangled ones yet, but I have been making lotion bars with them all morning, and they work great... they have come right off the bars with no problems, and no paper left behind. So I'm not sure if the ones on top were defective or what.

Anyway, the ones that weren't mangled all work fine, with no problems, and they look pretty.

I think these were overpriced I could have gotten the same ones at the market and saved almost 4 dollars. I thought these would have been a little more sturdy but they are the same as the ones from the store :(

These are great. I am a big fan of the paper liners as they keep the moisture of the cupcakes and muffins in check after baking. A nice, clean and festive look to my baked goodies. Other reviewers have noticed staining of their pans when using these baking cups, I have NOT noticed this at all. But then, I do not cool my baked goods in the pan.

These foil cupcake liners are the best of any I've used so far. They are durable enough I was even able to make a test cupcake with just the foil and no cupcake tin. It didn't turn out as pretty as if I'd used the tin, but it was a testament to how sturdy the liners are. The cupcakes separated easily from them and I'd repurchase.
