NOT BLUE first disappointment upon opening, instead an ugly poorly dyed red.

Then top it off with collapsing and un-collapsing twice the clear plastic sides formed a nice crack. Design would be ok if made of better plastic and silicone sides.

Damn chinese made garbage and waste of $10. CAN'T return because it functioned DOA. Same garbage quality stuff you find at walmart in the clearance bin.

I'm buying a Lekue silicone collapsible colander then inverting it. It should do the exact same thing, but from past experience the silicone is made in Spain is of substantially better quality than this POS.

I like the collapsible feature and has held up for several years. The lid looks just like promised except in RED. There was nothing stated on the page that you could choose a different color option. It works just fine but extremely disappointed that it is not blue.

I didn't like it. From useing it on different sizes the shield tore around the seams. If you don't change the height you might be o.k.

This shield is not bad for the price. A couple of things I would improve:

1. The handle on top isn't easily grasped. It may have something to with my above average sized hands, but either a loop underneath or deeper craters on each side would help a lot. It feels like the shield is going to slip out of my hand when I remove a dish.
2. The vents are a little too large. Nothing catastrophic, but I've had splatters escape the shield a few times.

I agree with other reviews saying the collapsible feature is difficult to maneuver, but I just store mine in the microwave and wash it at full expansion, so I don't really use that function. If I had it to do over again, I would've paid more attention to dimensions and bought a slightly larger model. That, of course, is not the product's fault.

Oh my gosh my kid's microwave was disgusting! How could they not know to cover their food? This handy, collapsible cover is perfect, and their place smells decent again. (I have always had two at home, didn't they ever see them?) Everyone with a microwave needs one. Plus they was easily and collapse to store, easy!

I leave mine expanded and in the microwave all the time. The handle on top is slightly raised so you cannot set a cup on it. Of course that is not what it is designed for, but at times I would set a cup on my last one to melt butter or heat water while cooking. Now I have to take five seconds to take the cover out, heat the contents of the cup, and put it back ;-) The cover is a nice thickness; not flimsy. It washes easily. Mine is blue and it works great!

Item arrived with a label that said used on the back. I contacted amazon who offered 20% off.

The item is not as tall as I had thought from the pictures. It can fit over a plate but not a deep bowl.

Collapsible works. We store it in the microwave. When its not being used we just leave it in there and put the dish on top.

Works well in the dishwasher.
