I needed an umbrella stand for the front porch - something that looked cool, but could deal with being outside. This stand fulfills both items. Having said that, there are two downsides: 1) it's a little expensive, and 2) it's a little ... light. The metal itself is sturdy enough, but the stand can fall over quite easily if all of the umbrellas are leaning to one side. For the price (see #1 above), I expected the base of the stand to be heavier. If it were less expensive, or if it had a solid, sturdy base, I'd have given it 5 stars.

My wife wanted this based on pic..but it has fallen over twice...they raised the price on us..and i'd avoid it and look for another stand..and the picture looks alot better than the unit...worth 30 dollars max...anything more not worth it...

Maybe I was a little dreamy-eyed when I made this purchase. It looks good, but when I placed 5 umbrellas in the stand..it no longer stands. The base is just too small. I should have read the comments before I bought. My mistake.
Now the only question I have is whether to send it off to Goodwill (but I hesitate, for then it will be someone else's problem) or just take it down to the scrap metal dealer.
But either way, it will no longer be at home in my home.

This is a really nice metal umbrella stand with kind of a steampunk look. The base is heavy and it is tall enough to hold multiple full size umbrellas. Don't panic if the box rattles a bit; the handle ships tied on and it just needs to be screwed on.
