Been looking for a good car stereo for your iPod? The Sony CDX-GT430IP gives you built-in iPod controls and includes the necessary cable to get you going--no other hardware necessary. Plus, you get a clean 52 Watts high power through 4 channels, a full-featured CD player, MP3/WMA, AM/FM radio, and a front panel auxiliary input. For further expansion, the CDX-GT430IP is compatible with Sony's Satellite radio tuner and HD radio tuner. Solid features and solid performance, all dressed up in a gun-metallic finish.

45 Degree Install
Most Sony CD receivers feature a 45 degree maximum mounting angle, allowing them to be used in virtually any custom or unusual installation.

Front Panel Aux In
The auxiliary input is built right in to the face of the head unit, so to use external devices like MP3 players, all you need to do is plug-n-play.

iPod Direct
By connecting an iPod to the dock connector at the rear of the unit, you can listen to all your favorite iPod tunes on your car speakers. Once connected, the iPod will turn on, and it'll resume where you last left off. Using separate Sony adapters you can add an HD radio tuner, or add Satellite Radio for a wealth of channels of music, news, talk shows, sports and traffic information with CD quality sound.

AM/FM Radio
Always have your favorite stations at hand with 18 FM and 12 AM presets.

Best Tuning Memory
Setting your radio presets can be a real pain while you're driving--especially if you're in an unfamiliar area. So, let the tuner do the work for you by activating the Best Tuning Memory (BTM) function. The tuner will seek out up to 18 of the strongest stations in the area and set them into the tuner presets.

Sound Performer
The CDX-GT430IP features a 24-Bit D/A converter, which oversamples the digital signal, creating a more natural sound and better imaging.

Dial in your sound using Sony's EQ3 parametric equalization, with 7 presets offering a wide variety of solutions, or make individual Low/Mid/High adjustments.

For more powerful low-end, use the preamp out for an external amp/subwoofer.

Wireless Remote
Included is an ergonomic remote to be used while watching the road.

This stereo had everything I wanted, especially Ipod control and it was well priced. However, this is made in China and it shows. The first one was DOA and the return/exchange process took two weeks. The new one worked but now will not hold the memory when the car is turned off. I've tried running directly to the battery, all connections are soldered, etc. but it is apparently an internal fault and I'm being told by Sony 6-12 weeks to repair. I've always had excellent results with Sony products but since they have chosen to manufacturer their cheaper units in China, the lack of quality has really turned me off to the brand.

This was a great buy. I have always struggled to have a good stereo and now I finally have one. This Sony CDX-GT430IP has wonderful sound and the iPod connection to it makes having an iPod in the car so much easier. You control the iPod through the stereo, and it charges the iPod too. It has all the nicest features including an off button, shuffle, album change, etc.
