GM has a garbage design with these mirrors on their cars and it helps to have a affordable replacement for the likely 3-4 times that the mirror is going to break off on you (car wash, leaning on it slightly, bumping it with your hip, etc.). The issue is there is no flex in the mirror in any direction and the mirrors are thin rigid plastic, that break easily. Enough about that though. As stated, for the price these mirrors are great and the fit is perfect. Takes about 5 minutes to replace.

We had bad luck with car mirrors on the Grandam! The drivers size mirror I replaced by using sheet metal screws to put it back on. IT looks like garbage and the plastic is all scraped up. It also warped the door frame. When the passenger mirror got knocked off (the kids like to race to the car) I decided to buy a new one on amazon seeing how inexpensive it was! It was a VERY simple install! I popped open the access to the bolts inside the door (similar to opening a fuse box) and had easy access to the three bolts with a deep socket. I had the old one off and the new one on in no time! The plastic part of the mirror looks a little "cheap" compared to the OEM but much nicer than the drivers side one that is held on with screws and stained with duct tape (for the temporary fix at first). I highly recommend replacing with one of these (the car is black, too) over trying to screw or tape it on yourself. On my toyota, I decided to use mighty mend it, which has held for three years but I have an ugly white line around the mirror where it attatches to the car. Had I known how easy (and affordable) I would have purchased mirrors for it on here as well. But the damage is done to the Toyota and that mirror is not coming back off easily without some major damage to the car door.

When I received the package and opened it up, I was impressed. The mirror was definitely new and looked good. I installed the mirror onto the car with no problems (note: nuts and insulator NOT included). On my first drive, I became disappointed. Like one other review had stated, it resembles a 'funhouse' mirror. Everything in the mirror looked elongated and distorted. If you don't mind how things look in the mirror, this mirror is good for the price, otherwise go to the junkyard and spend the extra $10 for a factory mirror.

After my husband broke off the passenger side mirror off of my car, he duct taped it back on. Then my daughter broke off the driver side mirror off my car, and she duct taped that back on. I ordered both this and the matching driver side mirror - and in less time than it took them to duct tape the mirrors on, I had them replaced. It took a lot longer to scrub the tape residue off my car!!! My car has automatic mirrors, but they haven't worked in years - so I took the chance and ordered these and they worked just fine. Easy to install, only needed a ratchet set and a long shaft screwdriver. I've had them on for several months now and they are very sturdy, no shaking or vibrating in the wind. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Did something change? I can't imagine anyone giving this mirror 4 or 5 stars. Spend the extra 5 to 10 bucks for an OEM style mirror. Installed this one and immediately noticed that the mirror itself is like a funhouse mirror, stretching and flexing the image in a significant way that makes me feel sick. My driver side aftermarket replacement does not do this.

I would recommend this product to anyone needing a new mirror! It was much cheaper than I originally thought it would be and shipping only took a couple of days. It came with the screws but not the nuts. Thankfully I still had the nuts from my first mirror, but you could take the screws up to home depot and easily get matching nuts for it. It took literally one minute to install and was very easy. I have a '99 Pontiac Grand Am and this mirror matches my driver side perfectly.
