Most new-model HP printers can be upgraded to Bluetooth by adding this little accessory, and I recommend it for anyone who would like to do away with a nest of USB cables. USB is great (a huge improvement over LPT and serial port connections) but let's face it--it is nice when you can avoid stringing wires all over one's computer room.

I have bought and installed two of these USB adaptors -- on on my HP B8550 color photo printer, and one on my HP Photosmart 470. Both are now wireless, and this makes them a joy to use. You can remove a printer to a closet or some other out-of-the-way place, and still be connected to your computer (Bluetooth range is about 30 feet or more.) One cool little factoid -- if you have a Bluetooth cellphone camera or other Bluetooth camera, you can transmit photos directly to the printer and print them out wirelessly. Pretty cool.

A nice little accessory that gives a lot of bang for the buck if you want to eliminate USB cables.

My bluetooth Q6273A came with my HP Officejet H470, and it's "Great". I no longer have to use a USB cable connected to my Dell XPS laptop (M1730). I had no problems installing the bluetooth adapter, i did had to purchase a Bluetooth Dongle for my laptop though because my laptop did not come with a built-in bluetooth adapter, but, the USB Dongle only costed me $12.79. So, if you're tired of all those wires connected to your Desktop or laptop, go with "BLUETOOTH".

This product only works with printers with a USB-A interface.

There is no usb power on the USB-B connector (the square printer side connector used by most printers) so even with an adapter there is no power available to run this server.

Doesn't work. The item description makes it sounds like it will work with any HP printer, or at least as long as you can connect it to a USB on a HP printer while it only works with certain type of printers. None of these usb type a<->B converters would work, it needs a usb connection on the printer that can give it power.

Just installed this and it worked perfectly to connect an HP Officejet Pro L7700 to my computer via bluetooth. For some reason the printer did not like to connect via our wireless network at the office, but the bluetooth works fine with this little adapter. When I first plugged it in, it did not seem to work, but I unplugged it and plugged it back in once the printer had been turned on and it worked fine. The drivers also installed automatically on my computer and set-up was very simple.

tried to use with hp dj460 on dell 1564 and csr dongle. had no success with it so tried a medialink mua-ba3 with still no luck. unable to access ANY registers on bt-500 or dj460, since 460 is so old hp no longer suppoirts it
(beyond win xp) all in all aate of a few bucks and time.
