We have the simplehuman rectangular 13 gallon trash can, and received three of these bags with it. They work fine, but for me are not worth the extra money compared to other trash bags. Let me explain why.

1. The main virtue of these trash bags is that they easily fit onto my simplehuman trash can. It is a little bit of a struggle to use standard 13 gallon bags, but they will fit.

2. However, these are not any more durable than standard garbage bags. In fact the first time that I used one of these, it ripped around the drawstring while it was still in the trash can as the can filled up.

3. These are larger than standard 13 gallon garbage bags, and IF you fill them to capacity, you will use less garbage bags (though this will not make up for the huge price difference between this bag and standard 13 gallon bags).

However the only way you will wind up filling these to capacity is if there is nothing in your garbage that really smells. While the lid on the trash can definitely keeps odors in, each time you open it to put more garbage in, any offensive garbage odors will jump out at you.

Therefore, as a practical matter we sometimes have to change garbage bags even before they are full just to keep obnoxious odors out of the kitchen. As result, although the simplehuman trash bags are larger than the standard 13 gallon trash bags, using them will not necessarily let you change bags less often because you may have to throw them out before they are full depending on what kind of garbage you put into them.

4. I have been using the Kirkland 13 gallon bags that I buy at my local Costco, and which cost me just under fourteen dollars for 200 (i.e about 7 cents a bag, and less when I get them on sale). They work just fine.

Bottom line: Although these are a bit more convenient to use than standard 13 gallon bags and also are larger, for me the considerable extra expense is not worth it.

These bags do what they're supposed to do: fit the can perfectly, never tear and never leak. Only reason for downgrading one star is they're more expensive than grocery-store bags -- and I can't get them locally. (Thank you Amazon.)

It's ironic that someone called "simplehuman" managed to put out a line of trash cans that are anything but simple with roughly a dozen different shapes and sizes.

Standard tall kitchen bags almost fit the size Q can, but need to be stretched just short of ripping, and once in a while... Aw[...]

It just takes one bag to rip open and spill coffee grounds and chicken bones as you pull it out of the can to make the minor extra cost of the custom-fit bags to be worth fifty times the price. If you have the can, you absolutely need these bags.

Bought these for SimpleHuman Step Trash can; well packaged, works perfectly in can, and very tough & high quality liner. Have tried the 13 gallon grocery store (Glad and Hefty) liners, and they work fine, but the SimpleHuman product fits/installs better/quicker, and worth the few extra pennies per bag. Will buy more when run out.

Our simple human can came with a couple of "preview bags," but when those ran out, we tried regular bags for a few weeks. The standard bags were ok, but we bit the bullet and went back to these bags because they are just better bags. They fit the can perfectly, are very thick, and have a strong drawsting. The fit allows you to really utilize all of the space in your can. When you're paying that much for a can, you may as well use all of it.

They cost more that normal bags but the difference is minor in the long run, especially at the subscribe & save price.

We were having problems finding a bag that wasn't a struggle to put into the Simple Human trash can we bought. The tall kitchen garbage bags were almost large enough but trying to get them over the edge of the liner was next to impossible. I bought one package of these bags and never went back to the chain store brands. They fit beautifully, are easy to get in and out of the can and make taking out the garbage a not so laborious job.

Disgruntled. I thought I was receiving a 3 pack of the trash liners. The $22 for the single pack seems ridiculous and sending them back for $8.96 also seems ridiculous. That said, compensation for the periodic future orders of 3 pack boxes of liners seems appropriate and reasonable.

We have been extremely happy with our simplehuman trash bags and bins for years. The trash bag is sturdy - you can feel the quality when it's empty let alone when it's filled to the brim. No supermarket trash bags for us. Even when we moved into a place that required the use of a "trash valet" special bin, we still use the simplehuman trash bags because they are the best at hugging the top of a container and we never worry about them leaking.

Very simply put, a must have for a simplehuman trash can! They fit well and don't tear. If you try to use an off brand they stick out of the can and look messy.
