I purchased this connector based upon the picture above which shows the Hard Shell Heavy Duty 9 volt connector. What I received instead was the cheaper soft shell 9 volt connector.

I found my multimeter inoperable at the time I needed it most. The battery had almost disintegrated and the acid had destroyed the wires and the contact ends which snap on. I didn't realize the wires were eaten away all the way to the circuit board, so trying to replace the contact end with a replacement with short leads did not work well. I found this on Amazon. Where else? It was shipped quickly and the leads were long enough to thread through the case and to the circuit board. Saved the Multimeter. Contact ends are just fine and hold on to the new battery as they should. Great find.

FALSE ADVERTISING : This is the basic cheap, flimsy, 9v clip. The picture shows the heavier duty style. Heavy plastic....
Bad Form...... I called amazon and reported the issue weeks ago. I can see that the picture hasn't changed. Amazon is not doing it's due diligence to protect it's customers even when notified of it's third party vendor's infractions . Very disappointed

The connectors were flattened when I received them - not sure if they started out that way or it occured during shipping. But, with just a little bending back out with a small screwdriver, it attached fine to a 9V battery. I replaced a defective connector in a carbon monoxide detector with this one, and it has been working fine ever since, so it got the job done.

The connector pictured is heavy duty with a plastic cap, which is what I wanted. What I received WEEKS after ordering, was the standard, flimsy cheap type of connector. Don't waste your money or time with this if you want a quality connector.

Good product, reasonable. Didn't realize the part that plugs in the battery was a hard sturdy plastic so made it a tight squeeze fitting into whatever I was fixing but it probably won't break like the original one!

I bought this connector about 2-3 months ago and it work very well for me. But recently I was using it for a circuit and was just about to connect it when the negative wire came out of the housing. Now it is a simple fix, just attaching it back, but I have to cut open the plastic to do that and it makes the thing look like crap. I would have really liked this if it had lasted longer, but I guess it was okay.
