these are pretty nice but i dont like the scoop style bases. i'd prefer weighted.
regardless, these come in different sizes and the larger ones can be detached in certain sections so you can
make them the size you want for your aquarium.

it came with green and purple plants. they are not sharp, which was a concern to me because i was replacing
plants that were injuring my fish.

update: my fish has been sitting on them and he has holes in his fins now ;[

I was a little afraid that these were going to be cheaply made because they were such a good price. I ordered two sets and I just love them. Impressed with quality-will order again and recommend to others!

Our family has had several freshwater fish tanks over the last 25 years and work hard to maintain a healthy environment for our sealife. Plant are an important part of that -- they give fish a place to relax and de-stress and they also allow those that need a little 'territory' to stake out a place to call home.

Having live plants was neat, but the PH and nutrient demands can pose a large challenge when trying to keep certain live fish with live plants. About 15 years ago we stopped maintaining live plants and went fake and we have tried many different types of fake plants, including those that were darned expensive and many that were fairly cheap, since then. We have now come to a conclusion -- a fake plant is a fake plant. Yes, some do look a bit more realistic than others, but they all need to be cleaned from time-to-time and they all tend to fade and eventually require replacement.

Over the last ten years we have been buying multi-pack plastic plants from Marineland, Tetra, Petco, Top Fin and Marina (and maybe others) and mix & matching them in our tank as we like -- lightly cleaning as needed, and we replacing when faded or broken.

We like this Tetra Wonderland Series of plants; they look good in the tank and the fish seem to like them. These plants have the plastic V-style anchors that are fairly easy to seat in our small-stone bedding (ranging from 1.5 to 2 inches deep) by putting one finger on each side and rocking the anchor down into the stone. From time to time, like maybe once or twice per year, a plant might lose its anchor and come floating to the surface... but it rarely happens. The quick connect type of branching makes adjusting the plant's height really easy, and connections that are too loose (will not hold a branch to the plant once submerged) occur rarely too.

If you are looking to do something similar to improve the look of your tank in a low maintenance manner, give these a try.

Go for it!

Good plants that are exactly like they are in the picture. Nice value as well for 5 plants, they are different sizes, some short ones and a couple tall ones. Livens up an aquarium and mixes well with live plants to fill an aquarium for plenty of hiding places. Would recommend and buy again!

This collection of plants is a great start for a new aquarium. The price really can't be beat. If you want your aquarium densely planted, I would order two different assortments.

Stalks literally fell of the bases in pieces as I was taking them out of the package. One is so loose it floats off the mounting post and comes apart. Cheap junk.

I was expectng a very cheap brand, but as it turns out the ones I got were tetra brand which I think is a good company for these kinds of plants.
you can't go wrong for $10, the large plant alone in this pack can go for $10 in the store.

I have both real and fake plants in the tank. The real plants are beneficial in absorbing nitrates, phosphates, and controling algae growth, but if you have a tank full of real plants you would have to add fertilizer, special substrate, co2 injection etc. Having fake plants in the background and a few real plants in the mid and foreground means less plant maintainance.
