Nearly perfect tool for for picking up pine cones, gum balls, twigs and small broken limbs after a wind storm. Easy to use. It is the right length to pick up objects and deposit in a bucket or lighweight tub. Price was fair and tool came quickly in perfect condition via UPS.

This is a wonderful helper all over the house and yard. However, if you want a really good one like this be sure that the one you choose does not fold in the middle. They become weak and eventually does not stay in the lock position. I know this from past history with these grabbers. I've had both the foldable and non-foldable ones. This one is really nice and strong. I will buy again.

I have back problems and it is difficult to bend over to pick up things. I have had one Arcoa EZ Reacher for 10 years and it is still great. I decided to get one for each room and that was a good choice.
I have bought the folding kind of reachers and they didn't last long before they broke. Arcoa reachers are well made and very sturdy. I recommend them strongly.

Arcoa's E-Z Reachers are the class of a crowded field. They produce a wide variety of lengths, with some more delicate than others to suit for the intended task.

I use this one down in the laundry area in the basement--the basement stairs are our "laundry chute," so we always have a pile of clothes on the floor there. I can pick up anything and everything with this guy, from little nylon stockings and footie socks to jeans--though my preferred method with jeans is to grab the end of a leg and bring it to my open hand, then toss them into the rolling laundry cart. It's capable of lifting jeans, but it's easier to do them this way.

I live on a main thoroughfare and have neighbors with big old oaks, so before mowing I always have to pick up branches and sometimes a piece of litter thrown from a car. I use the E-Z Reacher Outdoor Pro with rubber cups instead of silicone for the yard. The stainless "fingers" are a bit sturdier so it can lift more weight, and the rubber tips are better suited to heavier items, not so much little delicate things.

I started my Pikstik journey with one of those folding things from TV, bought at Wal-Mart. It was fantastic for about a week and then it broke. So I bought a Pikstik and though it is more durable it has some design flaws that make it less useful for me. I keep it in the kitchen now--still very useful for my high shelves.

After the Pikstik showed me what was possible I started doing some real research. There's a trash picker called the Grappler that is really good for outdoor work; almost got one of those. But since this E-Z Reacher worked so well helping me with the constant chore of laundry, I decided to go with the heavy duty version for outside.

And a true back saver, as well. Would be a bargain at twice the price. Easy to use, and the perfect length (at least for me). Ideal for picking up tree debris along our 330-foot sidewalk, and ideal for pulling tree debris from high hedges and magnolia trees, too. Fully deserves five-star rating!

I wish I had known about this YEARS ago when I couldn't climb ladders or step stools any longer, and when my hands got too numb and painful to pick stuff up easily, and when bending over to the floor would oftentimes mean losing my balance and falling to the floor and not being able to get up, and having to call 911 to get me up.

But the most amazing thing I have been able to do with these "giant tongs" is taking Velcro, putting a piece of loops and a piece of hooks together, adhesive sides out, grabbing the piece with the rubber thingys and being able to place it between two surfaces (my wall and a piece of shower curtain plastic) and place it and the rubber cups LET GO!!!! Unbelievable!

And I finally saw the hole in the handle to put some string or a zip tie through so I could hang it up. I'd like one in every room and in the garage too. Thank you to the company that makes it (A.M. Leonard) AND the company that sells it, HeavyDutyStore.com, 1-888-77HEAVY (1-888-774-3289). Excellent communication, prompt shipping. And until the United States Postal Service crushed it, I had NO COMPLAINTS WHATSOEVER. But I have it now, and I'm finally able to get all that stuff off the top shelf in my cupboard in the kitchen after well over 10 years. This was money VERY WELL SPENT. No regrets. Bravo, everyone! Job well done!

great product for those that can't bend down to pick things up off the floor or reach objects up high. Have used it to pick glasses out of a cabinet easily. only drawback is the plastic screw used as a pivot for the trigger as it eventually, "roughly 6-8 months depending on use," cracks or just comes loose.

I've been using pick-up tools at home and in my shop for over twenty years and have tried at least ten different styles. The "E-Z Reacher" is the best -- by far.

Unlike any other pick-up tool, its cup-like grippers have a light and delicate enough touch to easily pick up a rose or a dog's poop without smashing it. Try that with any of the other styles. The "E-Z Reacher" is also strong enough to lift almost anything that will fit within its grip (see below).

By the way, after twenty years, I had my first "E-Z Reacher" casualty -- a cracked handle from a fall from a high shelf where I hang its handle. The "E-Z Reacher" is amazingly robust. Its cup-like grip pads and stainless metal pull-band look different from all the others. On at least six others, I've broken the attachment for the pull-wire connecting the trigger to the gripper, or have broken the plastic gripper arms. Most other brands have grippers that are too hard to grip a heavy smooth object, like a quart bottle of olive oil. The "Pick Stik" brand is the next best I've tried. It has soft rubber grippers that will grip and will pick up heavier items, but it doesn't have the light touch of the "E-Z Reacher", and I've also broken several of their pull-wire attachments.

The "EZ-Reacher" is the best all around. If you want to pick up a quart of paint from a nine-foot shelf, this isn't the product. It will handle the weight or the width, but not both. I've only tried the "outdoor" model with the black rubber cup grippers. I haven't tried the "indoor" model with the blue silicon cups that supposedly provide an even more deft touch.
