Our dogs had "allergy paws" : chewing, raw, red, with inflammation. We read the other reviews and decided to try it. I'm glad we did. We put the 3-way ointment on their feet and put socks & booties on to stop them from licking or chewing while their feet healed. The Sulfodene 3-way ointment helped heal their sores and reduced the raw-ness and redness. We highly recommend you try it, if your dogs suffer this way. Our dogs liked the flavor, so we definitely had to sock & bootie their feet.
We applied it once or twice per day. I bought Hanes 4T-5T toddler socks from Amazon (a bunch so I could wash & dry them and still have clean ones on hand) and dog booties from Amazon (I did a search and bought ones I liked). I bought enough to be able to rotate clean/dirty ones. By using the socks, the insides of the booties stay fairly decent. We put ointment and clean socks/booties on morning and then night. Very happy with the healing results. Hope this helps someone & their dogs :)

This ointment is totally amazing, My mother has a 12 year old dog named Tia who has been under vet care for what they told my mother was similar to MRSA for almost a year. My mother was going broke paying for antibiotics that were doing nothing to heal the swollen, boil like thing on her dog's ear which was about 2 inches thick. I told my mother I would look around amazon and see if there was "some kind of ointment that might at least help with the pain and keep down infection." I read reviews for several products and decided on this. After only 3 days my mother's dogs ear was almost completely down to it's original size and she was no longer acting like she was in pain.

We ordered 4 more tubes of ointment and she is still using it on Tia with amazing results. I also got one for my beagle who we think developed an allergy to something, she had lost almost all the hair on her back and was itching constantly. This is the 4th day of using it on my beagles back and the hair is already growing back. I gave my beagle a bath and then when she was dry I rubbed all the red, itchy spots down with this. The next morning all of the flaking skin was gone and it was no longer red and irritated.

My only complaint I could think of for this ointment is that I wish is came in bigger tubes, but other than that my mother and I are singing the praises of this product. I wish I had a picture of my mother's dog ear before this ointment and what it looks like now because just looking at the photos would show everyone how wonderful this stuff is.

My dog's skin dried out after giving her a shower too frequently (2 in a 2 week span) and she licked and nibbled at her belly and got this red rash after doing so [picture attached].

I was recommended this product and I applied it three times a day at the beginning. My dog was curious about it being on her tummy and so the first day I did use a Elizabethan Collar. After the first day, I did not use the collar anymore and my dog left the ointment alone.

The rash did look worst the second day but by the third day, the skin began peeling. By day four, the rash was beginning to flatten and the redness had gone away (I started only applying the ointment 1-2 times a day from this point). Today is day six and the rash is gone and she has brand new skin [picture attached].

The product worked wonderfully and I would recommended it.

Note: the ointment is greasy so if your dog drags or rubs themselves on furniture or carpet, it will get a grease stain.

My dog has had dermatitis on and off for the last 4 months. I really do not like giving her much medicine but i hate to see her suffer. So until we find out the reason for the dermatitis I had to give her some relief for the itchiness. I got this product at our local pet store and it has been like heaven-sent for both my dog and myself. After a few applications her dermatitis is looking better, is not going away by any means, but is not getting worst, which it had been in the past due to the constant itching, scratching and licking. After i applied the 3-way ointment, i watched my dog for a few minutes to prevent her from licking it and then she went on about her business as if she had no itch! It lasts a good 4 to 6 hours, then it has to be reapplied. Totally recommend it!

My dog is addicted to chewing its' feet and cut open a back paw.
She kept chewing it even though it was cut and I was afraid of it getting badly infected.

We tried cleaning it out all the time and scolding her, but no luck.
I bought this with the Shampoo. I gave her a soak and applied the cream regularly.
Her paw is almost back to normal. The cream is menthol-ly, so she refrained from chewing her paw due to the taste/texture lol.
I am very happy with this purchase!

I chose this product because someone had mentioned that due to the strong menthol smell, their dog did not lick this off. My dog was licking himself raw and just wouldn't let it heal, and this seemed like the best thing to try.

He let me put it on him without any issues. He rolled around a bid after, so he definitely felt something, but he didn't whine or indicate that it hurt. He sniffed at it, but never once tried to lick it. Within a few days, everything was cleared up! We couldn't be happier!
