I have had a 'fuzz shaver' (BemisTape brand) since the 1980s that worked consistantly and quietly. It finally stopped working recently (at least 20 years old) and I was forced to find a replacement. I purchased the Trisonic brand TS-3109 Portable Fabric Fuzz Remover because it was the same shape and size. Here is where the differences stop. The Trisonic brand fuzz remover is a piece of garbage. It buzzes loudly and sometimes just stops working with the slightest touch to the on/off switch. Even with the lightest pilling on flat fabric, it chugs down/slows down and stops working. It's not clogged, it just stops working. I also used this fuzz remover on several of my bras that had pilled and when it was working, it cut HOLES all the way through the fabric. We're talking double sewn, nylon woven fabric, and it managed to cut all the way through the fabric and sewn edges. I would strongly discourage anyone from purchasing this product from any source. Even the lowest price will never compensate for poor quality and damage to your garments.

I bought this for my wife who used to complain about the bed sheets becoming rough after 2 or 3 washes. It worked great for the first 3 days, then it started making a funny grating sound. It never worked after that, despite careful attempts to fix it. A great purchase if you're in a bind and need a cheap disposable fabric shaver. For long term use, this one should definitely not be up for consideration.

This shaver is absolutely terrible, didn't remove any fuzz. Terrible, terrible and terrible again. Instead buy the Remington shaver, I think it's $5.99 and it actually works.

How disappointing when a nice sweater gets pilled - it looks shabby even if it's clean. This "fuzz remover" works great when you are very careful not to press down on the fabric. If you press hard, you'll make a hole in the sweater. I've been using these for years, and my original one died, so I recently purchased this new one, which is just as good as the original one. Use it carefully, and your sweater will look like new!

This removes hardly any lint. Ive tried it on multiple fabrics and have had no luck. It's almost useless and if I hadn't waited so long I would send it back. Would not recommend, and would not buy again.

Ive used it with no problems so far on a couple of leggings and a pair of sweater boots .I was actually going to throw out the leggings and boots before using the fuss remover. but they look fine now. So its actually already paid for itself many times over. Worked well on a couple of sweaters that had some pilling as well. I cant imagine what people in other reviews are using it on to fill up the reservoir. It is cheap and small. But I'm happy with it for the price. And it works great for the small jobs ill be using it for.

This little thing is so powerful. I have another more expensive and larger sized lint shaver. I wanted another smaller unit. I decided on this one because it reminded me of the one my mom had back in the 1990s. Yes it did take forever to get it because its shipped directly from China. It is so cheaply made but it is very powerful. They must have put all the money into the blades and motor in this thing. The housing is crap. The blades and motor however are just wow. I thought it was going to be junk when I took it out of the box. I was proved wrong however when I put batteries in it and turned it on. It is way more powerful than the big one I have. I wouldn't want to use this on anything delicate. If you can wait a while to receive it and look over the cheap plastic housing I would buy this little thing. Oh and it looks exactly like the picture. I knocked off one star because of the housing but as far as power and blade sharpness it deserves 5.
