When I first got it, I didnt like it. I'm an old blueridge fan. have 4 of their guitars and I like them all. Spent a little time with setting it up to my liking with new strings, (tried something different than I always used) still thought it sucked.. spent some time making sure the saddle was well footed in the bridge and put some elixer lights on. It sounds better than my J-45.

I received this as a gift recently (off the Amazon listing) & it's everything I hoped for! After researching potential guitars for a few weeks, I was sold after reading all the reviews over on Musician's Friend. It has a gorgeous tone & the guitar itself is a work of art. Many compared it to the higher-end Martins and Gibsons, and I couldn't agree more - for the price and the quality, it's an amazing value. Beautiful!!! I highly recommend the BG-40!
