Has stood the test of time

I bought 3 of these about 18 months ago and put them up. The legs are two peices and the rafters are three peices. If they werent then these things would have to ship in ten foot boxes. The problem is that the top can blow off in the right circumstances if you only have the feet anchored. You could hang weights from the top to solve the problem. What I did was drill self tapping screws into all the piping wherever two came together to make a joint or a seam. Then I made sure the feet were anchored securely.

During a heavy snowfall in the winter of 2010-2011, one of the canopies collapsed under 12-14 inches of snow. This was where the rafter pipes slid together to make one long pipe. I reshaped the metal pipe ends with pliers, etc; reinserted the pipes and placed pipe clamps on all the pipes used to support the canopy top. We had more snow and lots of heavy rain since then. They are still standing. I'll admit, they are partially anchored to chain link fencing but they are still standing and do not leak. By the way, I live in Alabama and in April of 2011 we had crazy storms and crazy tornadoes with the biggest one being a 50 year record setting F5. We've also had a number of 50-70 mph wind storms in that time. In all those storm and all that wind, these things are still standing. If I needed a cheap, semi-temporary/semi-permanent canopy again, I'd buy one of these in a minute (but I'd still make my modifications which is why I marked it 4 stars).

UPDATE: SEP 14, 2012- Today, I am ordering 2 of these to replace the original 2 of 3 that I put up 26 months ago. The frames are still intact but the canopies have been beaten by the sun and weather.Read more ›

all in all a good product. well made and fairly easy to assemble. a great replacement for my ez-up.
paint on frame was a little thick making it hard to get the joints together.
anchoring system needs a little work. plastic feet are nice and would anchor well but they are not securely attached to the frame.
there needs to be a note in the instructions to assemble the roof to the frame before the second section of the legs are put on. much easier to do this way unless you're very tall.

Just what we needed for our deck!

We've had this up for about 6 weeks and so far it's been great! I have it up on my back deck (southern exposure) and it provides the needed protection from the sun. I put the dropped sides facing my neighbors on either side and the peak looks out to my wooded backyard. The canopy has withstood high winds and pouring rain. I have it anchored from the top rail onto my deck railing with four ratchet straps. It doesn't move at all. I like that it's waterproof and we can still use the deck in drizzling rain.

Great Canopy

For several years I have had my eye on this canopy. Finally got it! I put it over the entry way of my side door, which I use most often. Easy assembly. Good material. Screwed the feet down onto the deck and tied a good strong cord from the top to the hook on the foot, that way the top poles stay intact. Held up in heavy winds and couldn't be more pleased.

better than a regular gazebo.

I use this as a gazebo on my deck. We had the pop up ones that kept bending with the rain. All the other gazebo were so expensive. This is the best purchase I have made so far this year. I put it up myself in about an 45 mins. simple, perfect size and very well constructed.

This is a very nice 10 x 10 shelter. The frame is well designed and easy to assemble. The top is well made and fits nicely. It even comes with spikes for anchoring. I get some strong winds where I live and this shelter holds up well. Very pleased to have found this size. Great in white and other colors would also be appreciated.

Excellent quality at a good price

LOVE IT

I bought two of these set-ups for I do a lot of outdoor vending events. It takes a little longer to set up than my easy up but these are waterproof. I just make sure I use ratchet ties so that with gusty winds they are secure. I have used them already for three events and have had no problems. I only wish they had larger poles but other than that they are excellent. I have even used end sides from a 10 x 20 that I have and sides from my easy up 10 x 10 to close up my shelter for the night. I am glad that I bought these for they are a lot more durable than my easy up .
