These are my favorite erasers. I have been using them for over a decade; mostly for school. I keep one in each of my bags (backpacks and camera bags) and have some in my pencil holders at home and my job.
I have not had any issues with the grips becoming loose. I also never had a clip break on me. And the eraser stays put at my chosen length. I have erased large portions of writing on a page without these issues. Keep in mind these are plastic. I suppose if one gets carried away it is possible to stretch the grip over time or snap off the clip.
FYI ABOUT PRODUCT COLOR
I wanted to give everyone a heads up about the color of this product. As of November 2012, the product description and accompanying Amazon image suggests the package includees one gray, one red and one blue barrel eraser. I ordered this item on 11/2/2012 and I received a package of three black barrels. These actually look pretty cool imo. I have uploaded a photo of them. But I just wanted to give a heads up about. Thanks.
