This autofocus circular fisheye lens is designed exclusively for digital SLR cameras with an APS-C size image sensor. It produces circular image with digital SLR cameras. The minimum focusing distance of 13.5cm/5.3inch and maximum magnification of 1:6 make it particularly useful for close-up photography. SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass, Super multi-layer Coating and the inner focusing system creates high image quality. The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) ensures fast and quiet auto-focusing and allows full-time manual focus override.

Combined with Nodal Ninja rotating tripod heads, I'm using this lens to produce equirectangular 360deg x 180deg panoramas. Six shots in 60deg increments work perfectly when stitched with Hugin or AutoPano.

Limited depth of field is a problem --- I find that typically I have to operate the lens at f/11 or f/16 to get decent full-frame-in-focus results, which necessitates shutter times of > 0.5s indoors, so it's only really useful for static scenes.

This lens is a great fisheye lens. It has good image quality and focuses as well as can be expected.

I have no complaints about the lens.
