Do NOT buy these volumes of "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?", August 12, 2009
The pricing of these DVDs are ridiculous if you add up the total to get this volumes of a complete season of "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?" you are paying more then you would just buying the complete 2 seasons on DVD. *See Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? The Complete First and Second Season" here on Amazon*
Besides if these are coming out that means the 4 disc set of the first 2 seasons is going to be discontinued so if you are a collector and love Scooby-Doo this is not the version of the show to buy just get the 4 disc completes set.

Warner Bros. wastes our time (and theirs) by demanding we waste our money, February 19, 2009
I'm gonna be honest with you folks - I've never really liked "Scooby-Doo" much. Maybe it was the unappealing character designs, maybe it was the fact that they somehow managed to make 400 episodes out of the same basic plot, or maybe it's the fact that Warner Bros. has been forcing it down our throats in the past decade while ignoring their own creations. Yeah, it was probably that last reason, as evidenced by the existence of this DVD here.
The point is, even if I *was* a "Scooby-Doo" fan, I still wouldn't recommend buying this DVD. It's a completely pointless single-disc release containing the first four episodes of "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?", and this is supposedly the first in a series of volumed single-disc releases of the episodes of this series. What makes this decision so pointless is the fact that Warner Bros. has ALREADY RELEASED THE ENTIRE RUN OF THE ORIGINAL SERIES across two multi-disc sets. (Heck, these first four episodes were even already put on the show's very first DVD release, along with the fifth episode!) And before you object to this by saying that they're making this for people who'd prefer to get the episodes at a cheaper price, let me say that that's a total lie; in the long run, you'd probably end up spending less money buying (the four-disc set of the first two seasons) than you would buying all of these individual releases. (Especially since the original set is probably going for half the original price now!) Plus, let's also take into account the fact that the only bonus feature on this DVD (and most likely, the ones that'll follow) is an episode of "Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue!", the franchise's most recent incarnation, which everyone claims to hate. Unless you actually like that version of Scooby, that doesn't sound like much of a bonus feature if you ask me.
So, like I said, the pointlessness of this release and its following volumes alone make this DVD series one that you're better off avoiding even if you are a "Scooby-Doo" fan. I find it shameful that Warner Bros. is willing to release these single-disc compilations of the same "Scooby-Doo" episodes they put out five years ago when they should be getting around to making "complete series" sets of perfectly good cartoons like "Road Rovers" and "Histeria!"

STOP with VOLUMES for GOD sake, December 24, 2008
Why do people keep buying TV Shows in VOLs, it make NO sence to me.
Most Season 1 Vol 1s You pay twice as much as you would for a Complete Season 1.
This is actually a Great Price at $13.99
Some Distributors are even putting TV Shows out in (Syndicated) Versions and people are buying those too. See ALF Seasons 1 - 4.
They may say Complete but they're NOT.
Here's a good way to tell, Look at the back of your ALF Season 1 box, look at the RUN TIME, if it says 619 Minutes this means that each episode should be a minimum of 25:00 minutes long.
The Original UnCut Pilot Episode is $25.00 minutes long.
Watch The Pilot Episode on DVD, The one where alf crashes into the Tanners Garage, If you have A Complete Episode, it will start with a Pan of the Tanners backyard with Willies' voice over saying, "This is the way it began, That extrordinary night, The night HE came", showing Willie and Brian walking to the Garage.
It DOESN'T start with Willie and Kate sitting at Willies Radio.
Also look at the episode called (TRY TO REMEMBER).
How does ALF lose him memory?
A--By hitting his head on the side of the bath tub
OR
B--By Electrocuting himself with Kates Electric Mixer in the Bath Tub while simulating a Whirling Hot Tub?
If you said -A- you're watching a Syndicated version. AKA ReRun that you can watch on TV Land for FREE.
In this episode go to the part where Lynn tells Willie,
"Dad, Alf hit his head and lost his memory".
If you read her lips what she actually says is
"Dad, Alf got a bad Shock in the bath tub and lost his memory."
Try it.
Other Big TV shows that are being sold in Complete Seasons are sold for $29.99 to $34.99. A Fair Price.
TV Shows done in Vols can go as high as $34.99 per Vol.
Making 1 Season of a TV show go for $60.00.
Case in point--Season 1 Vol 1 and Season 1 Vol 2 of Perry Mason are both going for $34.99 each. That's $70.00 for 1 season.
If they were being sold as Complete seasons, i'd buy, Till they are you can KEEP THEM. Or i'll find them Used for $15.00 to $19.99 each.
The 3 Stars are for Scooby Doo
I'm giving Shows done in Volumes a -10.
