I own two of these pedalboards, plus one smaller Gator powered pedalboard. I agree with the complaints of the other reviewers: it is too heavy, it barely fits in the case, and the AC cable is flimsy. So I think they are right when they say that it would not be good in a touring situation. I would add that although you get the extra space on this pedalboard, you still only get 8 pedals powered and some of the cables have trouble reaching the lower right corner.

If you gig locally, have a studio, or just play at home then this pedalboard is a decent one. You will have to take your time putting it in the case when you travel, and I wouldn't recommend it for abusive touring. But this is an inexpensive alternative to buying more roadworthy pedalboards and then adding a power supply to the cost.

AN ALTERNATIVE WITH SMALLER VERSION:
The smaller version can hold up to 8 "normal-sized" stompboxes (like the small Boss, MXR, small Electro-Harmonix like Neo/Nano series or the ones that are the size of the Little Big Muff, etc.) and has the same amount of power connections. It also fits in the bag a lot better. Unless you have a lot of small pedals or GIGANTOR models (like Line 6 stompbox modelers, classic Electro-Harmonix pedals or stuff like Ravish Sitar size, Boss -20 series, etc.), the small one is probably a better bet. You might consider combining two of the small ones instead of this one big one. It has the same problem with the flimsy AC cable, but it is not very heavy and fits in the case just fine.

Right now, I use my smaller one for a rudimentary "ambient" board with an Ernie Ball VP Jr. Volume Pedal, E-H Ring Thing, Boss PH-3 Phase Shifter, Boss DD-7 delay, E-H Memory Boy delay, Line 6 Verbzilla reverb and that just about maxes out the space -- I would have to be creative to fit more on there.

I love this pedal board. It is big though so if you don't have a lot of pedals like I do I would try something else. For me though it has plenty of room for my wah pedal, electro harmonix micro muff, electro harmonix small stone phaser, my tuner, kill switch pedal, 4 channel amp pedal an A/B switch and has plenty of room to spare. I am a bigger guy with large feet so this eliminated the frustration I would have on smaller pedal boards, I can space out my pedals

The Cadillac of store bought pedal boards.
One word,.....BIG. (I'm thinking of buying a luggage dolly for it!)
I have fourteen pedals in it right now, and could fit more on it if I tried.
My Only complaint is with the power supply. It works fine, I do notice some noise as opposed to individual wall warts and daisy chains, but nothing too bad. But what I don't like is that the cables that supply power to the individual pedals can be too short if you only have the one power supply and want to install it underneath the board. And these cables are not the standard cables so you cannot order longer cables from another manufacturer. It also has three 18v outputs but only includes one cable, luckily the 18v outputs use standard power supply cables so you can order more from other manufacturers.
I have had no problems with the Velcro surface, though I did not use the Velcro they included for the back of the pedals, I used Industrial Strength Velcro.
ALL pedal boards are incredibly overpriced for what they are, in my opinion. But, this one is about as good a deal as you are going to get. Why Amazon is currently selling them almost eighty dollars cheaper than everyone else, I don't know, but I like it!

Personally, I am very happy with this purchase.
Obviously if you are a touring musician, you should be looking at something that goes in a hard shell, ATA approved, flight case, and NOT a canvas bag. For the at home jammer, and the weekend warrior, this thing is great!

i love this thing. it's huge. and it ships with one power supply that will run an insane amount of pedals... and you can add a second, as i did... i have 18 taps @.25a for my pedals, as well as enough 18v taps to run some of my other stuff as needed. it is hip!
the whole case is useful and well thought out... you can rout all the cabling under the board if you want, too..
the bag is high quality, and the accessory pockets a useful size. i have something like 12 pedals crammed on this thing at the moment, and room for more if i needed to.
i wanted something large, easy to use, affordable and well constructed. this thing aces all my requirements.
the optional second power supply is highly reccomended!!
one caveat, as true with almost all these power supplies.. the grounds between the taps are all common... so don't try and run any pnp pedals like a fuzz face with other pedals of the more common npn variety.

i'd buy this again if i ever needed to. absolutely.

As far as use goes, my pedals are no longer on the floor and stopping buzz-feedback. With one power source and multiple AC adaptors makes use so much more convenient instead of carrying around an abundance of AC adaptors, I only wish there was an adaptor for the Whammy Pedal; it's the only one that i carry around with the wall-plug AC adaptor

As a professional gigging musician who relies on a pedal board I do need it to travel well.

While this product had the size and capability I was seeking it lacked a proper closure to prevent rain/water damage.

I've spent thousands of dollars on guitar pedals over the years and it would be insane for me to make do with any pedal board that does not CLOSE COMPLETELY!

Seriously guys, why do you not make this pedal board and bag fully sealed? Why does it have to have a large opening on the top to allow rain/water to get right in and damage the guitar pedals?

Gator Pedal Board = FAIL.

I have returned this pedal board for one made professionally and properly by SKB.
