causes some signal loss

I got 2 of these to make some short runs inside my radio room. They work, but on both antennas the SWR went up with these in place. My 2m antenna went from 1:1 to 1.2:1 and my HF antenna went from 1.4:1 to 1.6:1 on 80m. I used some (much) longer high quality HRO cables and the SWR readings went back down. I decided to not be so lazy and I made up some of my own cables with PL259s I had on hand with some scraps of good cable and now my radios are wired and not losing signal due to the little feed cables.

So, they work, but not as well as I hoped. They'll be relegated to the parts bin.

Needed a reasonably short piece of coax for swapping between ...

Needed a reasonably short piece of coax for swapping between a few antennas, and this works well! The center pin seems REALLY snug, but I think it's more the shape than the size. It's hard to get started plugging into a SO-259 plug, but once it's in, no problem. So maybe just the center pin isn't tapered as much as I'm used to. Otherwise, it just works, no complaints.

The supplied RG 58U cable can be used in either an amateur radio appplication or a citizens band radio. The cables are well made and the two PL 259 connectors are firmely attached via sodering. i highly recommend this product it is less expensive that the same type that other electronic companies sell it for twice the price.

This works, but the rubber coating is cheap and not very flexible. I can see this cracking if moved around a lot. So its just a average product doing a minimal job. Don't expect serious performance or durability. You get what you pay for and the price was just ok and the quality was just ok and the performance indicates it works.

Good Coax in 9' Length!
