I bought a set of four of these for about $7 or $8 at Ross years ago. I have used them for years with no problem other than one of the lids cracking. I finally broke one bowl and was sad, because I used them all the time. I like them because most glass containers are very thick and heavy and make my lunch bag very heavy. It's like carrying a kettle ball into work.

I was very happy when I found these on Amazon and, even though the price was ridiculously high, I ordered a set. In the short time I have had them, three have cracked right down the side. I know the old ones are the ones that haven't broken yet, because they look a little scratched like I've had them for years, which I have. What a waste of money and loss in confidence in Libbey products.

I bought these glass bowls for a special purpose and needed all four. They arrived and were exactly as discribed and just what I needed but one had broken in shipping. I emailed Bealls about it and they answered immediately with the best possible solution. I will look for their name when shopping on line here in Colorado, to get what I pay for with the confidence of experience.
And yes, the bowls handle the microwave without a hitch, although I would not swear to the PLASTIC lids standing up to the heat over time because it never does.
I am a zon first searcher.

they are smaller than I had thought, but that was my fault for not measuring first, but one of the lips on the lids has cracked.. I didn't have these very long.. but note that they are very cute and useful for various things. portions of vegetables to be frozen. and also even without the lids they have uses, such as desert bowls.. All in all I do like them.. great for ;portion contro--I have used them in the freezer to divide packages of frozen vegetables and other things. and in the refrigerator also... They would have many uses.
I am liking them more and more as I use them. they do go into the microwave I tested them.

Love them even more as time goes by... they are useful for so many things. I think I need more of them maybe about 6 they look nice on the counter was just thinking that today. since I had no other place to keep them at the time.. Libbey's glass is so pretty.

These are surprisingly durable. I purchased the set a year ago and when they arrived was sort of concerned that they would not hold up well as storage bowls. They are not made out of thick glass, but apparently thick enough. I have used them as storage bowls and as serving bowls for condiments and they have held up very well without scratching, cracking or chipping. The plastic lids are durable as well. I have not used them in the microwave.

I am happy to have these little glass storage containers. They are a perfect size for a lot of things and are sturdy, but not too heavy. My only complaint is the it is really tough to get the lid on. I guess that the nice things is that once the lid is on, it stays on and doesn't pop off. I would definitely recommend these for the price.

Bought these for my GF who uses them to carry lunch to work. Why only 4 stars? Because the lids are a custom, or non-standard size and in the past they have gotten mixed up, lost or accidentally discarded. We now use a permanent marker to put a black circle on each lid. The manufacturer should be marking the lids in a uniquely identifiable way.
These bowls are sort-of nestable, but not properly designed to be nestable. If they were properly nestable and the lids were marked these would earn that extra star.

The Libbey four glass storage bowls with lids are great. Since they are made of glass, you can see the contents. With the lids, they stack earily and do not spill the contents in the refrigerator. We have not tried to use them in the microwave, since they are a fairly thin glass.
