I have a 10lb shih-tzu and the size of the bowls are perfect. They are plenty big enough to leave her with enough water for an extended period of time as well. They also look great in person and do not slip all over the place.

I bought these dishes for my shiba inus. They are great until they reach about 6 months and than bigger is probably best. These partically dishes are perfect for a dog 15 lbs and under. As far as the dishes go they are gorgeous, sturdy, well made, and I very much like that they aren't steel. I have hard water and hate the build up that shows on the steel type. Very happy with these, have two sets!

We just purchased the sage set of bowls for our kitten. The design is nice and modern and the bowls are a perfect size for a cat or small dog. I'm not sure about the other color bowls, but the sage set has a nice green color on the inside with black covering the entire outside (we hoped for this, but couldn't tell based on the picture). It's also nice to have the bowls kept together, but not touching, so the food doesn't get in the water. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase.

I still love these bowls and am very happy with the purchase. However, our cat seems to fling pieces of food out of the bowl accidently when trying to scoop them into her mouth. I've watched her do this and it looks like she's using her tongue to scoop food up the side of the bowl and into her mouth and a few pieces will slide out every once in a while. I feel like there's no reason for it happening so it may not happen with every cat. It's not a big deal to me, but I thought I should at least mention it.

Just received mine (bought two). I like them; the size of the dish is 4-3/4" dia x 1-9/16" deep. These measurements are the inside bowl area.
We use both sides for food with another location for water. The bowls are big enough so the rotation of fresh food is easly kept for our girls and boy.
We all know our family members like the sound of new food being laid out, so these work very well.
The bowls sit approx 3" (measured from the top of the rim) from the floor. The frame is light weight and attractive from a "simple" point of view. For us these are just right, our 7 cat's agree.

This dish is just high enough off the floor to assist my injured pup in being comfortable during meals. The dish has to be refilled once or twice a day with water, but I do that anyway, and she seems to prefer this over the plastic one previously used. This is her second set as the first one was accidentally broke during a move. I imagine that this should have the capacity to feed up to a 45 lb. dog if following package directions since my pup has 1/2 - 3/4 cup twice daily and she is almost 16 pounds. Her serving covers the bottom 1/4 of this bowl.

This is a very nice set of stoneware bowls. Two small Chihuahua's in our house and the bowl sizes are perfect to supply plenty of water and food. Love the sage color! Thank you for making a nice size set of bowls as well as offering a color that will blend with a lot of decors. So many bowls have no depth or they are really big. Perfect size for small/small medium dogs and cats. Would have cost a lot more at the pet stores! Great price, great size, and really cute.

These are cute and about the perfect size if you want to keep your cats or small dogs food and water fresh. The only issue I have is I wish the bowls were spaced a little farther apart so the food can't get into the water. The bowls raised up is definitely better for the pets while the amount it holds is good for days if not a week depending on how many or how often they eat. I do still empty and refill after a few days because my cats prefer very fresh food.
